    Default F2P Arcane Melee 12 WIZ/8 FTR (TR'd WIZ)

    This is my first time posting a build on the forums, but this is the build I am thinking of TRing my Wizard into.

    I am not sure why the builder did not include gear into stats and skills... but should have 30 Str, 12 Dex, 23 Con, 22 Int, 14 Wis, and 14 Cha and 425 HP/1092 SP and 21/12/17 for Saves at end... The gear is stuff I can get/have gotten due to farming favor and buying packs like Vale and Shavarath...

    Looking for input on how to make it better, but the "musts" are heavy armor (mountain plate, adamantine, etc), heavy shields (for more PRR), Elf, and access to 6th lvl spells (wizard).

    TLR: PM II/SD I sword and board wraith build.

    What do you want to do with this build?
    What content do you want to play?
    What gear do you have?

    Mabar festival is coming up and the Epic Robe of Shadow gives a huge amount of effective DR from the inflict cast on you whenever you get hit, I'm not sure on the maths involved when comparing it to heavy armour PRR but I have a feeling that you can get more overall DR with the robe of shadow and some other sources of PRR (which opens up the possibility to be pure or mostly pure), at the very least the robe will shine in content where mobs don't hit so hard (and I'm doubting your contribution in EE).

    What epic destiny do you plan?

    The best that I've been able to come up with for a melee undead form character is 12 or 18 wizard/7 or 1 rogue/1 monk halfling Shadowdancer stunning fist build.

    Alternatively, warforged can build much better tanking themed character being able to combine heavy armour with the epic docent of shadow for better DR.

    I realise these suggestions revolve around p2p options but for building such niche flavour builds those p2p options can really mean the difference between viable and contributing and not viable and gimp.

    Pretty much hit the nail on the head: PMII/SD1 S&B Wraith... trying to perfect my 'Death Knight' build... I can't do WF (don't have it), nor Monk for same reason.

    I have STK, Delera's, Sands, GH, Vale, Shavarath so far... working towards getting more, and hope to one day be able to get full game or at least what I want of the game =)

    So those are basically what I am going to be doing, and will get to more later. Otherwise, I went with elf due to the Arcane Fluidity. Since no monk, no reason to even try a wis/dex build, so I am going strength instead. Going with Heavy Armor due to higher PRR in Tenser's, as well as better AC than clothes with no dex. Not to mention just looking way better... more of a 'knight' look...

    I like the S&B style for protection/survivability, but realize going falchion/THF might bring better DPS, therefore allow me to contribute to parties better... Honestly, wish I could get same bonuses for greatsword (and try to get Vault so I could eventually get Sword of Shadow), or Bastard Sword and go Fang eventually... But elf doesn't get bonuses with those, so scimitar/falchion would most likely be better?

    EDIT: Why did the character planner give me Lay on Hands and Divine Grace at 20, btw?

    I think for what you want to do youd be better off with something like 18 wizard/2 fighter, Lich form is just that cool.

    Don't worry about racial weapon damage bonuses.. They are usually expensive and often underwhelming. That said, scimitars and falchions are solid weapons.

    You could do better with your many feats. I realize you need a lot of them for prerequisites. Here's a list of what you have:

    Toughness
    PA, cleave, IC:Slash
    extend, quicken
    mental toughness, IMT
    Shield Mastery, Improved Shield Mastery
    SF:necro, GSF:necro
    Improved Shield Bash
    Weapon Spec: Slashing

    Three candidates for dumping are Improved Mental Toughness, Weapon specialization: Slashing, and definitely Improved Shield Bash. Instead, you could slot in THF line or some tactical feats, or perhaps a metamagic feat? (maximize for neg.energy burst?)

    You could also drop 8th fighter level for something more exciting. Perhaps barbarian for static +10% speed and sprint boost, or rogue/bard to pick up UMD.

    Ok, an attempt at maybe a TWF version... don't have equipment on it, so assume greater twilight mountain plate, two scimitars, etc... Also staying in Tenser's during combats, using extended lesser DM's to keep displacement up at all times, figured the cost of 2 feats (that would have amounted to prolly mental toughness, IMT) comes out to 210 SP extra vs 240 SP on the displacement alone, plus saving a spell slot... not to mention the 8 Extended Invisibilities from Least DM...

    Will work on a THF version next and see if it is better... but let me know what you think of this one, whether better/worse than first, and what can be improved. I am trying to take into consideration what everyone says (on this thread as well as other threads with similar builds, like Wraith Blade and Arcane Knight)...
