The character generation screen needs some updates/fixes

Wizard/Sorc soloability is "challenging"?? Barbarian/Fighter=Good?

Suggesting rogues start with 10 str and 12...wisdom? Paladin and ranger with 14 starting wisdom?

Advocating sorcs put points in dex for the AC??

Charisma is the most important stat for fvs, hmm really?

Sorcs get DODGE as a suggested feat, and it still states that it improves AC.

Needs a massive overhaul, better yet just completely redone. I like the layout but a lot of the build choices and wording is just leading new players astray, and only serves as mild humor for people who have actually played the game.

The character generation screens have always seemed terribly inaccurate once you actually learn how to play the game, and the misinformation there can be very detrimental to new players. I've spoken to many new players and answered a lot of questions in regards to that very thing. Yes, it needs an overhaul - and has for years at this point. Of course at this point, I also have solid doubts there ever will be said overhaul.

Many many times I've wondered if the people who wrote those tips and suggestions actually played the game.

I'm not new, but still new enough that i've not played every type of character..and when trying to make a new kind that i haven't tried before, it's disheartening to know i can't "trust" the info that's on the character generation screens. If i were a completely new player, who didn't know to come to the forums or the wiki etc...well, i'd be pretty confused as to why things weren't working quite as intended.

I wholeheartedly agree that those screens/descriptions need an overhaul and an update to make them accurate.

Now, shall i hold my breath until that happens......?
