    Thumbs down Masters Blitz not working, and wothless in current state

    Title says it all.
    You have ONE, yes ONE chance to get it working. If you miss the 50th use of a tactic, you lose the clickie.

    And to have it reset at a shrine, changing instances inside a quest, makes it even more useless in current state.

    When I run my ftr, I have zero time to watch an icon number accumulate to the exact # 50, to activate another hot bar item! Get it!?

    Make it automatic for obtaining the 50th use.
    Make it 25 vs. 50
    Make it NOT reset at a shrine or moving thru instances in a quest

    As per the release notes;;;;;;

    "The Legendary Dreadnaut's The Master's Blitz timer has been corrected to 15 seconds." as per http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=376774

    So, how does that make the ability better, when right ow it's not worth the 2 ap's spent?

    A dev response would be appreciated.

    100% agree, it is far too situational (spider swarm, nothing else yet) to be of any value to waste the 2 ap on.

    After talking with quite a few people last night in-game, this thread reflects the same sentiment.

    This epic ability is worthless in it's current state, and needs to be fixed or removed.

    The original version in beta was good ... maybe too good. They changed it on lam (increased the #tactics needed to charge it), When tested there after the change I came to the conclusion MB is slow to build and unless your group is slow - allowing you to spam tons of tactics between fighting and not zurging while steamrolling over trash would seem pretty much nitch in the quick moving groups I'm used to...

    Fact being spamming 50 tacticals takes time even when you have a full toolbar of them on different timers ... so the place you see this used most is on a boss or with tons of high hp mob around which can't be ein or killed off by casters quickly ...

    I played with this last night in Fight the the Finish, on my fighter with 2 monks, 2 divines and a wizard. You can probably guess that running from one side of the arena to the other was often met with a waste of time.

    I got it activated 3 times...I entered with it fully charged, and each time after that I had to wait for the MB cooldown, cleave, great cleave, lay waste, momentum swing, Imp Sunder, Trip, Stunning Blow all build it up fast.

    I need to double check, but I think the timer is still 10 seconds. Probably a better solo/shortman destiny for me than Fury at the moment.

    I think they need to reduce the charge up time. I only say this because I experimented with it while I was in LD with Elkabongg. For that build, I found it to be underwhelming compared to Turn of the Tide. It requires a level of cooperation that is hard to find in grouping. Other players will kill things and one finds themselves on cooldown again quickly. Because of the situational nature, I found TotT to be perfect for trash mob clearing.

    Ran a couple of EE's recently paired with a LD fighter and found I could outkill him even while passing buffs and songs. I don't think that should be. My melee bard should be competitive, yes - but not dominating in a melee contest. That said I think that reducing the charge up some would be the way to go. Something like 30 to charge, keeping the 5 min cooldown. Figuratively twice as often as a toon specced like Elkabongg. A change like that would seem better balanced overall to me.

    my 2 cents:

    1. It shouldn't really be an issue to watch at the epic moments timer. Never had any probs watching it. Or just watch at your hotbar if the epic moment got a "1" and is ready. What would you do if you got a cleric and have to deal with a whole raid party and several healing spells...

    2. Master's Blitz is a joke. I'm reaching counter of 50 on my pure fighter dorf maybe after 3 quests in a row but not inside a single quest. Counter should be 15 or 10 to make it really nice. What kind of tactical feats do you really use on a fighter? Stunning Blow, Haste and the epic stuff. So counter of 15 means you can activate the epic moment 2 or 3 times during a quest. That's not as much as a monk can do with Everything is nothing... and that epic moment is far more mighty.

    Works on cleave, gr cleave, SB, trip -- swing mid air adds to the counter.. but yeah 50 counter is a bit high. 25 would make it more usefull or 15 succesfull uses of tactical feats..
