Mr Cow did a great tome giveaway on thelanis about 2 years back using a special channel and asking game related
questions. They are quite hard to find on the forums and since it was first answer gets the tome it worked great.

Scavenger Hunt:

Find things around Stormreach and have them bring you the full list.

Make them low cost but unusual like the wedding band found in a certain marketplace quest. It's always there and you can't really sell it. (in case of items that are BtC have them link them all in a tell.)

When i give things away i do it in 3 main ways.

On the ddococktailhour.com Lessah and I try to give things away often.

As leave comments on my.ddo.com blog.

Or my favorite i pick someone in the who pannel and just mail things. Sometimes with a little blurb sometimes with nothing.

Also there is the help out the guildie/channel thing but mostly just those top three.
