    Default Warchanter Gear Advice.

Hi, I had been gone since around U8/U9, came back to the game probably 2 weeks before U15 and ate a Stone of EXP. Since then my Warchanter is now level 23. I have no idea what kind of gear I should be aiming for or even what to try and farm up. As of this point I have no greensteel items but have been farming mats for when I know what I want and where.

So as a 15 Bard/3 Rogue/2 Fighter Human Warchanter(TWF Khopesh) how would you gear? Where would you place your GS items? Im VIP with Expansion so I can run anything to get said gear but I am Clueless! I am mainly looking for my Main slot items. Understanding that I will have to use some swap ins for some situations, feel free to add those in two if you feel like it!

    Thank you for your time!

By Drallacs advice Im just going to post my Current build. I use my enhancements to even out my stats as needed so I didnt fill them in, the only static points in enhancements is for Warchanter and Haste Boost/Human Versitility.

think it really depends on your stats, what skills you use etc. do you use rogue skills?

Personally I have ditched alot of my GS items, as 45 hp isnt as big of a deal now as it used to be, also the spellpoints can be gained from the war wizard commendation set, (+ 10% cheaper spells) some more build/feat information would be useful as well as if you use any tactical feats.

What ED do you plan to finish with?

Personally I liked the epic abishai set but thats become somewhat redundant now( although still ok for 3 piece), in my mind youd need the following:

    +10/9 str and con
    +9 cha
    Melee alacrity
    SP item (gs)

    I would go about this:
    Armour: Chitin Breastplate (8con)
    Helm: Purple Dragon helm
    Necklace: War Wizard Necklace
Trinket: I would consider either the blasting chime or a planar focus
    Cloak:
Belt: spare hand (static OL and DD + other goodies)
    Ring:
    Boots: Boots of propulsion
    Ring:Ring of the stalker
    gloves: Purple Dragon gloves
    Bracers: War Wizard Bracers
Gogglesruids goggles (True seeing attack bonus and seeker)

that leaves you with a cloak and ring slot to fill with your str and con at +9 and +10, you have your SP item, you could use archmagi item on ring for some buffing sp, id actually suggest a +6cha/perform 15 cloak as fascinate is awesome these days. Im sure there are people out there who will disagree with all of this but i think it gives you a lot of pros and few cons

Well right now Im level 5 Fatesinger and FS will probally be my main even tho soon I will be looking to find stuff to Twist in. Between the 2 sets of Advice I am seeing some good stuff!
I must say that at least 3 piece abishai set looks really tempting. Probably Helm, Gloves, Cloak(+7 Con/Cha is nice +6 Str seems kinda meh but bracers/boots are even worse) Plus right now I have +7 str in a different slot so im using normal Charged Gauntlets(lack of anything else to put there atm) and loving the proc with my ED giving Reign and (Max) 65% Sonic, 15% light and 15% electric vulnerability. Not even talking about Turn of the Tide short term 40% damage increase seems to be working on all damage(Not sure if WAI because against bosses Im getting the sonic and light damage also).

Btw Attack Bonus dont stack with Bard songs! So Druid goggles would only give Seeker/True Seeing.

That's true but often I don't use courage (but my damage is lower) as I'd rather use dirge and fascinate

Armour: Terrorweb Chitin Breastplate / Hide of Goristro
Bracers: Min II GS - heavy fort, +45 HP

    Ring: Seal of Dun'Robar - Stun +10
    Boots: Cannith
Gloves: Purple Dragon gauntlets / Fabricator's Gauntlets

    Cloak: Magewright / GS - Con-opp, 150SP, CHA skills +6

    Helm: GS sp cha conc.
    Goggles: Tharnes
    Armour: Terrorweb Chitin Breastplate
    Bracers: Claw +2 con
    Ring: Shintao - devotion 78
Ring: Ravager/zerker TOD- heal amp 20
    Boots: GS heavy fort sp/hp
    Gloves: claw +30% amp
    Belt: knost belt/ravager
    Cloak: new challenge +5 exep.
    Trinklet: planar +3str
    Necklass: shintao

Whats great with this set up is that you can find lower tier of loot easy and build your self up just like in that game RISK.

    i.e.

    1. No claw set? - fine go with PDK, oh no 375 favor, fine go with fabricators.

    2. One of the TOD rings slots can be replaced by the manslayer one.. and you can add sparehand to your repetoire.

CitW hammers is probably the most funtime I've had with my bard so far.. SB DC of 55+.

And I see more good stuff coming into this thread. I notice alot of people wearing a Devotion item. I dont do alot of healing with my mana. I mean I heal with Scrolls and Wands mostly while blowing my mana pool to keep everyone buffed and dealing top damage. I just dont seem to have a sustainable enough mana pool to heal from it on the weak heals a bard has(Only level 5 spells, 15 bard levels) do you feel like you get any bang for your buck using cure critical or mass cure light(I think Mod also if you have level 6 spells)?

    Hail Chronis

Zongen carries a devotion +108 item (twf) and has maximise running almost constantly. She is TWF Daxe spec Warchanter but I find I throw mclw and mcmw reaonably often while meleeing (conc +15 item helps) and that has often been the difference during an encounter. Heal scrolls for sure.

Also try using the odd ".... Cloud' scroll for 20% concealment for friendlies in the cloud - even against named Boses.

Bottom line - gear yoru bard to take on role of secondary healer. As a warchanter I dont believe you'll regret it.

    SP Management for this build?

Easy -- buff less. You are not there for the buffs.. its the songs. The kind of build you got their OP will never have enough SP or be a main or backup healer for anything that requires a healer...but that is all good.

    /rant on!
Tons of sources to get GH (planar girds, shavarath clicky, UMD) and I don't throw out blur unless the mission is rough, why?
it is outright boring, time consuming and in many cases not needed.
    "Oh how dare you -- you selfish elitistic prick" some might say.. well, to those people just need to plan their own gear wee bit better, and make this little thing that others may refer to as 'making an effort';
fitting in smokes screen on a GS HP item, picking up a mabar cloak and a couple of GH clickys should be more or less core on non blue bars...
Rest of the buffs is stuff you want anyway (rage and haste comes to mind).
    /rant off..
Maxmize + devotion + heal amp equals a very self suffient and survivable toon -- even more so with quicken.
