Some suggestions about current mail system

The current mail system could use some upgrades at this point in the game. I am not suggesting it be rebuilt but some tweaks and additions could really make it more usable for those of us with high numbers of characters on an account. I would make the following list of suggestions to improve it.

1. Increase the amount of money that can be mailed in game.
2. On your character login screen is it possible to show which characters have mail without logging into every character? I hate cycling through 10 guys looking for an item!
3. Can incoming mail be color coded for type? i.e favor/ddo store
4. Can you add check boxes to confirmed mail with ability to delete in batches?

1. Yes, Two more zeros would be helpful.

2. This is a good idea, but would there be a lot of game code to do this?

3. This might be an option in the game, more customization is always good.

4. Yes. And also a way to create more mail after sending one instead of it closing the whole the whole mail window.
A second Toggle button, one click, to be closed by the user only and not the game so sending multiple mails will be easier. Also works for sending one mail, just click it to close Manually instead of the current system which closes it Automatically after the first one every time.

Thats a good idea too, but I meant sending to two different people, two different mail subjects and the like.

2-4 seem agreeable, though.

I don't think it has anything to do with gold sellers. After all, they can meet your character on their character ingame, and give it millions of plat in one trade.

Yes, but meeting at the same exact time is a little harder than logging in for a few minutes and mailing millions of plat. A ton of games have caps in the mail, and it is to be against gold sellers. So if they choose to mail millions of plat, they'd have to do it over a series of mailings, which then raises a big red flag. Like I wrote, this is not the first game to do this.

The fact that you cannot see the icon on the smaller UI options is simply and staggeringly stupid.

They can easily just turn it into an announcement icon that appear under your buffs at the top of the screen. Much like we get the announcement icon for guilds reaching certain levels, just put a little icon there that states "You have new mail."

Guild leaders should be able to address mail to "all guild members' and to "all guild officers".

Players should be able to address mail to "friends list".

You should be able to reply to an existing mail in your inbox, rather than having to compose an entirely new one.

I might add to it by saying: How about a mail system that acts like......well, REAL email?

Multiple attachments, multiple recipients, reply to (with the original message intact), etc. etc. At the very least it would be a better way for guild leaders to send messages to the whole guild about things like upcoming guilds raids and such.

Unfortunately i don't think they'll raise the cap on plat now that they are selling the shared bank addon.

Plus, please consider raising mail expiration times.
I cannot plan my gaming schedule.
Sometimes I can play for weeks straight.
Sometimes I can't, because of RL demands.

I leave my accounts unattended to find AH sales deleted, lost money and items and returned stuff from alts.

I am being forced to periodically log in, do all the boring micromanaging, which takes time, and then I have no time or will to play, since the game is getting pointlessly cumbersome.

The launcher UI won't tell me when I last logged in, in day terms, and it won't show all servers anyway.

Right now the game feels like a chore.
I already have those in RL.
