Well, in Guild Wars 2 they ensured every class had access to healing. There is no need for any dedicated healer (there are not), and I have yet to see anyone complain.

Seriosly i dont get the problem!
I played Warhammer Online and only a few classes there can even heal with more then 2 pots which have an enormous CD and dont even heal half of a Tank.
No one there complained about not being able to selfheal.
(well aside from a few noobs)
And guess what, real healer there cant even damage a DD beyond scratching them. They got some CC thats all, run or die.

Hell in Warhammer it can happen in pvp that one side has not a single healer and the other has a fine mix of heal/dd/tanks. Even so i have seen it often enough that the group without healer wins cause they actually teamplay!

Its the same **** here!
I have beaten dungeons here without healer and without more selfhealing in the group then cure serious pots without problem!
Play together and you can make it happen to!

In DDO even the pure mundane can heal themself if they want and that with only minor investments.
In DDO even the most heal only guy can stroll through Epic Hard if he wants.
In DDO a DD can actually solo a Dungeon, hell my DD in War cant even solo most rare mobs there...

People complain here about not being able to selfheal good enough or boohoo BYOH groups.
Guys its ridicules easy here cause you have the CHOICE.
Either go for selfheal and join BYOH groups or get a ****in HIRE!
or make your own LFM and i tell you it fills and that fast enough!

People complaining about only BYOH groups should get autokicked in the balls for being to lazy to open a LFM on their own...

I use more heal scrolls and cure crit wands on party members than I ever use for myself (in a party).

And I'm a rogue.

Sometimes a party is fun.

Sometimes soloing is fun.

A lot of people arn't self-sufficient irl or in game. It's a skill that has to be learned. Taught. A sad American (and World?) trend is people are reliant on others and that is where they turn when faced with issues or obstacles or w/e. They don't know how to be self-sufficient for ALL of the organisms needs. They simply havn't been taught.

I play DDO because I <3 D&D....

Most days I like to avoid as many social interactions as possible (but by and large fail).

If I choose to join a party you can bet your Lolth-D'd @ I am wathcing my health bar and the WHOLE parties.

But most days I just want to play and not have to teach. I learn best by doing.

Just bring SOMETHING to the table besides an appetite.

Not that simple. Yes you can easily open an LFM, that doesn't mean anyone will apply. I've opened multiple LFMs where I had to solo entire long quests and not even a single player would try to join, other times they join at the very end and complain about getting -80% penalty. Now I close the LFM after 30 minutes of questing if nobody applies to join, meaning I play solo whether I like it or not.

this helps, for all the chaos PUGs can throw you into sometimes the only thing that you can make a safe bet on is with a humorous LFM. at least that way if it turns into a train wreak it might be a funny one you can all laugh at.

lol when I saw that commercial I was thinking... huh they're coming out with a kung fu panda 3. Then I saw WoW up there and the next thought was, well that's gotta be the fakest advertising ive seen with their sad (edit) graphics.

Today in classes one of my professors was determined to show us about 30 1.5 minute clips of presidential debates and whatnot, it was really fun when 80% of those ads were the 15-30 second WoW Expansion advertisement.

The entire class began to recite it after the tenth time it showed.

Well thats a Lfm i would join.
Maybe its your playtimes or the level zone you in.
non prime times can be rough and sometimes you are just in a level spot where not much other player are. (happend to me last time i played there, looked like all folks did TR and i was the only one with a lfm 16-18)
Other then that i had never problems on Thelanis.
