I thought it would take 110% fort to 99%, 5000% fort to 4500%, etc. Not reduce them to 100% then take out 10%

Also I know fort bypass and debuffs work funny, I think bypass is multiplicative and debuffs are additive...

I believe rogues can crit you 10% of the time no matter what, as stated earlier in the thread.

For what it is worth, I have never been crit by the Dun'robar matron with 165% fortification, and have meleed her or been in range of her AoE swipes a lot. Also never been crit on my Pale Master when in form.

HP damage from poisons, however, looks a LOT like sneak attack damage. I've been confused about that in the past on the Matron (took 255 main damage + a second number of 17 on one attack which put me to -11, was surprised and looked at log and saw it was poison not sneak attack).

I'm running around with 140% fort and don't remember getting critted in any EE content yet.

Tbh getting over 100% isn't terribly important as long as your build is solid though it does reduce the need for heal scrolls so it is good to have if possible.

Rogues always getting SA on you 10% of the time sounds like BS to me, when I was running U14 content on EE with just 100% the mobs had CR 40-50. And that's what it felt like, they were getting crits and SA on me *constantly*. After increasing my fort I've *never* been critically hit or sneak attacked by the exact same mobs.

If they did always get SA on you 10% of the time that wouldn't be the case would it now?

Roguish mobs bypass fortification equal their CR. So, a CR 40 drow rogue bypass 40% fortification. If you have 100%, they treat it like 60%.

I want DDO to be a better game. Those are my personal suggestions on: Ammunition, Archmage, Combat Stances, Deities, Dispel Magic, Epic Destiny Map, Fast Healing, Favor, Favored Enemy, Half-elf Enhancements, Monk Kensai, Monk Stances, Past Life, Potency, Potions, Ranger Spells, Summons, Tiered Loot.

    Wasn't disputing, just clarifying.

What sirgog said. You can't be critted if you have 160% fort.

    140% fort is enough thou.

Not a random number..100% + Brace for Impact from US twisted :P
