Default First Character WF Wiz or Sorc

I have 32 point builds unlocked for some reason. I don't remember why. I want to make a WF Wizard or Sorc but not sure which one to pick. I adapt quickly so difficulty of play should not be considered when suggesting. Also, I'm not against being a pure or multiclassing, whichever would be stronger. I just need to know which one is better for a first lifer 32 point build for farming and building up my account. Links to builds or build suggestions would also be highly appreciated. Thank you =)

    Give 19 sorc / 1 barb a try you won't be disappointed

    14 STR
    18 CON
    16 CHA

Barb 1st, sorc all the rest. Fire savant until the vale then whatever you like ( I prefer earth, wind and water are also nice. Devils are immune to fire, so makes sence to swap.

Not much is totally immune to acid

Play as a non-raging, self healer with spells until you get fireball. Then melee if you want (or run out of sp).

Hjage, sprint boost, lots of kaboom, collect shinies

Well I started my WF Sorc. I'm working my way towards Earth Savant and still trying to find a good build. Hopefully I don't screw things up in the meanwhile.

A sorcerer has stronger nuking capabilities, more spell points, less spells and prestiges which increase spell damage.
A wizard has more feats (and usually higher DCs) more spells on hand, a prestiges which raise DCs and increase survivability.

A wizard with a splash for evasion could get a very good reflex save.A sorc can splash for paladin to have good saves but no evasion.

In my opinion, a WF wizard would be best off as a Archmage, but a non WF as a Necromancer.

If this is your first caster, I suggest a human wizard necromancer, they have more flexibility and mistakes an be corrected easier.

As long as you take Quicken around the same time as you get Reconstruct, have Empower and Maximize, and either SF: Conjuration or SF: Evocation you should be ok.

You probably want Heighten spell eventually, but for early levels it's not really a big deal Especially for Earth Savant which doesn't have any spell like abilities (SLAs) to heighten until level 18.

You should have some secondary elements in your enhancements but you shouldn't put more than 1 point into each of the 'crit' enhancements for anything but your primary element (and then only because you need it for savant).

I probably would have recommended WF wiz over Sorc because a) more flexibility in learning the spells b) no penalty to your main c) you won't get addicted to the fast speed & spell points of sorc if you decide to try wiz later
