I think this was probably someones idea years ago that is no longer with Turbine. This is clearly on the backburner of their "todo" list. Something bigger and better will come along and this will fade away. I think you are right.....

I love using MyDDO. It would be nice if it didn't just error out every time you tried to look up an epic toon, though.

I was thinking it was in it’s “Charlie” or “Foxtrot” phase. It cannot display Artificers, Druids nor Epic Characters. Time to pull the plug on it or update it and turn it into something useful. (ex. offline inventory/bank search for users; Raid timers; E.D. progress.)

I agree, all I can get it the Black screen with the Lottery enter button, but I cannot enter the lottery.

Either pull the plug or suspend everything My DDO ( Including the lottery) until it gets fixed.

That said pulling the plug on them can not be the answer for all of them. At some point Turbine just needs to buckle down and actually finish what they have started.

It has been jacked up for three years. If it was capable of being fixed, it would have by now.

Lack of caring from Turbine and work on an issue does not correlate to something not being able to be done.

You do not think that finishing PrEs is impossible just because Turbine has been lazy in completing them do you?

Well they are going to implement epic gianthold, so anything is possible.

I'm willing to bet that a lot of the MyDDO problems (maybe most) would go away if all of the data in it were just blanked out entirely and allowed to repopulate over time as people logged in with their characters.

The devs could fix it. Its just not important to them because there are no ddo store tie-ins with myddo. If they could find a way to make a buck off of it, it would work flawlessly (or what passes for flawless for turbine at any rate).

The could fix it. Its just not important to them because there are no ddo store tie-ins with myddo. If they could find a way to make a buck off of it you would be sure it would work flawlessly (or what passes for flawless for turbine at any rate).

Well they are going to implement epic gianthold, so anything is possible.

I really wish they wouldn't. I'd so much prefer if they stopped producing more epic content which was just heroic content re-hashed, especially if it's going to stop people doing the lvl 7-12 versions in favour of the higher xp epic versions.

I mean seriously, disconnect the two so we can do the heroic ones and still do the epic versions later and it still counts as a first time entry. It's not like the lvl 7 von 1 bears much resemblance difficulty wise to the epic version, plus there's so few people doing the heroic versions of the heroic/epic quests now for just that reason, the first-time BB bonus.

Stick a fork in it. The characters that I can actually bring up on my account are outdated and wrong. We've been asking for this stuff to be fixed forever with no response as to what their plans are. It's just an embarassing mess at this point.

Google "YourDDO", I've found that it works on my epic level characters as well as most others that I try to look up. It doesn't work for everyone though, but it's funny that it works better than the in-game version. Also, this one isn't quite as convenient since it's not in-game. Although... I went to my MyDDO page, here on the site, and posted a link in a journal entry, so now while I'm playing DDO I can bring up the MyDDO panel and the link is there and I can use it in-game. Unfortunately today it seems to be showing most characters classes as druid, but by checking their gear or the "Who" tab class(es) can be determined. Just something to try, I've found it works pretty well.
