At first i tought it was the in-game part that was broken, which made character not to be updated.
However, how can it be that a character that is broken in myddo shows up fine in yourddo?

I blame wordpress for most of the woes of myddo, and would choose drupal as replacement.
The Yourddo site is proof that good and working things can be done with the character and guild feeds.

There's no entry for web app dev in turbine jobs atm, but i recall having seen one that was fairly broad.
It didn't stop at LAMP + CMS, for example, which is already work for a whole team.
Sure a web expert can handle it alone but maybe is better to ask for specialists from start.

Two different databases would do the trick.

MyDDO uses a copy of the database, said copy being made on a character at log out time. Except that the copying script is FUBARed and has not been updated to handle the new things like Artificer, Druid and Epic Levels.

While yourDDO hooks up to the original database directly.

Now it can also be that MyDDO PhP scripts and stuff have not been updated and don't look at the right tables in the database... or are unable to find the right data in the table while YourDDO code works.

LAMP ( or any variations like SAMP ) is easy to install... now coding the PhP is harder... Add to that the fact that the database behind is probably not MySQL but more probably something like Sybase or Oracle and you end up in the world of custom made PhP stuff.

Google "YourDDO", I've found that it works on my epic level characters as well as most others that I try to look up. It doesn't work for everyone though, but it's funny that it works better than the in-game version. Also, this one isn't quite as convenient since it's not in-game. Although... I went to my MyDDO page, here on the site, and posted a link in a journal entry, so now while I'm playing DDO I can bring up the MyDDO panel and the link is there and I can use it in-game. Unfortunately today it seems to be showing most characters classes as druid, but by checking their gear or the "Who" tab class(es) can be determined. Just something to try, I've found it works pretty well.

I'd not heard of this before. My main, Oceann, has always been bugged and I thought ok I'll try this one. Sadly he still doesn't show in yourddo either. Oddly, it does show a toon named Oceann Beastmaster, a first life Ranger. My toon's name is Oceann Sureblade, definitely not a first life Ranger Oh well.

Well YourDDo works great for checking my character.

However, I have no way to check or Enter the lottery anymore. Which I think is part of the display problem with MyDDO.

Half of my toons are bugged in myddo before U14 now 13 of 14 are bugged ...

Getting worse and worse. First there were some characters not working, now none are. It is no longer bugged... It is just utterly and completely broken

Will it ever be fixed? OR will the link to MyDDO disappear silently one day?

I would recommend a clean slate. Scrap it, start over. A re-write would be nice.

Or, just open up an API to access the database and let the community build (like yourddo) a website, android apps, chrome app, iOS app, whatever.

I love the idea behind it. I was a big fan. It looks like it getting worse as time passes though. It is no longer beta, but more charlie or delta. I think it might be time to pull the plug on it.
