    Default Twists of Fate

Checked the wiki for an answer but I'd like to confirm before I spend time leveling another fate. Based upon what I've read I know that the innate abilities can't be twisted nor can the tier 6 (top) abilities.

I believe, at the moment, the third twist we have available can only accommodate a tier 4 ability but I want to be sure so my question is thus:

Can a tier 5 ability be twisted in...specifically can Sealed Soul from Shadow Dancer be twisted in and if so how many fate points would it take to do so?

    Thanks in advance

No, you can only twist tier 4 and lower. Seared Soul is a tier 5.

Thanks that is what I thought based upon what I read but needed to be 100% sure. I guess that saves me some time and a chance to twist in something else.

    Thanks!

No, can only twist in up to tier 4. And it doesn't even need to be your third twist slot either. You would just need to upgrade 1 of the 3 up to be able to accept a tier 4 ability. As far as cost, I'll use slot 1/slot 2/slot 3
    Unlock slot - 1dp/2dp/3dp
    Upgade to tier 2 - 2dp/3dp/4dp
    Upgrade to tier 3 - 3dP/4dp/5dp
    Upgrade to tier 4 - 4dP/5dp/6dp

    Total Dp cost - 10/14/18

And as a side note, after each upgrade the slot will hold the highest tier unlocked and lower. I.E. Once upgrade to tier 4, it will all anything from tiers 1,2,3,4.

    Hope that helps.

*edit* Got beat by my slow typing.
Will add something else that someone else posted in another one of these types of threads as well.

There are not enough epic destinies to let players earn enough fate points and then upgrade all 3 twists to their full L3 potential -- even if a +2 fate tome is used.

    Thanks!

Maybe you can answer the following question then...

If a player twists in Reign (Fatesinger Tier 3 ability) does it grant a song or songs to activate said ability. I thought I read a dev post stating they did but it might have been for another ability.

I had remembered seeing something about that, had to locate the post myself.

Here's what should be happening U15:

You're a non-Bard. You want to twist a Fatesinger Song into a new Destiny. But outside of Fatesinger, you have no Songs! You will have to Twist Allure (grants Songs) or Lucidity (grants Songs) in order to use your Song outside of Fatesinger.

Currently this is very buggy on Live, but clean on our test build and ready to go.

Note that non-Songs currently twist just fine at this time.

Not that I can see many players building this way, but it was good to clean things up there, as it was causing some weirdness.

Also note that any of those add-ons to Inspire Courage, Fascinate or Dirge require your character to have those Songs if you twist the add-on outside of Fatesinger.

So, it looks like as long as you have a bard past life, then yes, it will grant you songs. But if you don't, in order for it to work by twisting you would have to twist something that grants songs as well.
