Default How about some hysteresis on guild level

I've always found it a bit annoying that once you make a new guild level, you then get knocked back down to the old level, until you build up (this time a little more), then down, then up, until 1 - 10 days later you are actually solidly at your new level.

How about if once you make level you then have to loose more than one days decay before you loose that level. (e.g. if you need 1,000,000 renown and decay 25,000 a day, you would have to fall below 975,000 before you lost your new level).

I'll leave the discussion if decay is needed, wanted, done right, etc for some other thread.

Google has taught me that this post has nothing to do with the uterus. Thank you for adding a word to my vocabulary.

At first glance this seems like a good idea but in the long run this wouldn't really make any difference as to what level your guild was, and would complicate the Guild XP coding. Needless to say, I dread what possible side effects (aka bugs) this could cause. Finally the fact that a guild is skipping between two levels might even be a positive thing as it can be a good indication for guild members to choose more renown rewards at the quest rewards.

Of course I don't like the renown decay mechanics in the first place but that another matter.....

This pretty much sums up my feelings on the suggestion. I am a huge proponent of changing the DDO guild leveling system because I think change is very much needed, but if we are going to make changes to it, I would prefer to make changes that will actually make a difference in the big picture of things. I don't believe this suggestion would accomplish enough.

    That made me laugh.

I am neutral on regarding the OP. It is solid, but imo it's a subjective call as to whether or not the bouncing guild level is a problem worth fixing.
