i enjoy building toons that are different i was thinking of doing a platemail druid some may say impossible others would say easy but dragonscale its not metal so gets past the oath hypothetically black dragon platemail to up dps threat however what if it doesnt work has anyone tried it can you still shape shift? ive got a fun 18/2 sorc druid in progress currently only a 10/2 and once in beta tried zombie wolf the zombie form wolf and bear was static and hideous didnt even move for attacks you can constantly see ppl flaming druids and not trying to make them work though more often than not creativity gets rejected than it does accepted i hope ddo comes out with a feat for animal companions to level when there masters multi class

If you weather anything that breaks the oath you cannot do anything with your druid powers, no spells, no forms nothing that makes the druid a druid.

So metal armor is not worth it. Now I have not bothered to check to see if dragon armor breaks the oath as I do not have the patience to run TOR that many times to get enough scales in one life.

I can confirm that Dragonscale does not count as metal. My Druid is currently wearing White Dragonplate and she can still cast and shift so the oath is unbroken.

Wearing blue dragon "Plate" on my druid, and doing just fine (I also bought heavy armor with a very precious Feat Slot). It's the only way to fly...unless you find some form of Darkleaf Plate (does that even exist anymore?)
