    Default Epic Destiny Question

So, while reading a bit further on Epic Destinies, I have come across something that made me a bit sad. So, this post is inquiring if there is a way that I don't know about to do what I want to do! Granted, I have just begun to fiddle with some Epic Destiny stuff, so I don't know much (and I've tried to decipher some things from the wiki).

I have a Ranger sitting at 20 ready to TR (I have geared him up, etc) into an Arti. However, I noticed that the Arti doesn't get the Shiradi Epic. So, what is the "best" way to get into the Shiradi Epic for my TR'd Arti?

    1) Do I play him NOW as a ranger and progress as far as I want in the Shiradi Epic? Then, upon reaching 20 again, would I then have access to that Epic? (if so, how does that work at the Fatespinner?)

    2) Do I TR now, level to 20, then do that multi-progression through the Epic tree to reach Shiradi? Seems like a long, tedious process and I am unsure of how that would work either (as in, when, what do you get to keep, etc).

I appreciate any insights into this topic.

    Thanks!

    1. Yes, that would work. You could level up Shiradi as a ranger, then TR, and regain Shiradi after you hit level 20 as Artificer.

    2. Yes, that would also work. It would take longer as you would have to level up in the various epic destinies to unlock other destinies that would eventually let you take Shiradi. But if you can't stand being a ranger any longer and want to hurry up and be an artificer, then this choice is also an option

If you take the Shiradi Champion epic destiny now - no need to level it at all, just make it active - then you will have this epic destiny at your disposal when you hit level 20 on true reincarnated artificer.
In other words: If you make the Shiradi Champion destiny active now, you should have immediate access to it once you hit 20 again with your artificer (after a brief talk with a fatespinner).

Bruce has the right of it. Once you activate any destiny, you must work your way out from that destiny. If you make the Shiradi destiny active as a ranger, you are forced to level Shiradi after you TR into artificer. If you TR without activating any destinies, then you'll end up having to start in one of the arcane destinies.

    Default Many thanks!

I can't tell you how happy I am to hear I can simply make it active. It seems like from your description that this is WAI as well. Whew! Awesome!!!

Heh, I better study up to make sure I am making the right choice!!!

More than making it active, you are 'Claiming' the Shiradi destiny as yours. Claiming is the term they use when you are picking your first destiny. Making one active refers to any time after that when you change which destiny you are currently putting xp into.

You're going to want to level up at least one other destiny in order to throw in some twists of fate, so regardless of where you start, you won't stay there even if you wind up finishing there.
Kobold sentient jewel still hate you.
