Sschlinderdimple portal

For some reason I cannot get to the middle portal on several toons. I always have to start at the furthest portal (eveningstar cavern entrance). I have gone through the middle portal to the traders camp like everyone always says to do that will bring me right back. But still... only have 2 toons who can teleport directly to that one.

Is there something I am missing? Why the hell can I not directly teleport to that portal on ALL my toons who have completed all those quests and have all used the portal?

None of my toons can -- and I have gone through it with all of them. I always get sent to the "not-too-far-away" portal and have to make the extra bit of run. I just figure it is a feature so I get a couple more slayers along the way.

I believe you have to find all the scrolls (high priestess missives) in Sschindylryn first, then you can use the middle portal. That's been my experience: While I have yet to find the scrolls, I go to the far away portal. When I find all the scrolls, then I get to use the middle portal.

I think it has something to do with finding/using all the portals in the underdark as well.

It has to do with finding / using portals, and finding all priestess missives.

I believe you have to find all the scrolls (high priestess missives) in Sschindylryn first, then you can use the middle portal. That's been my experience: While I have yet to find the scrolls, I go to the far away portal. When I find all the scrolls, then I get to use the middle portal.

It's definitely not this one. I haven't found all the notes on the 2 toons who can port to the middle one

Also make sure you cast bless and/or use bluff or diplomacy on the center portal before attempting to use it.

You have to find the Riz Malog Portal (sp?) explorer in the Underdark if you want to port directly to the middle Schyndrylynlynyllnyn portal from the Eveningstar cave.

Definitely nothing to do with the missives since I could do this before they were all in the game.

And you don't have to specifcally use that portal in the Underdark... just get credit for that explorer.

As a workaround, if you can go to the demonweb from the underdark entrance in the cave, it should put you at a near useless portal in the northeast of the demonweb. If you pop back through that portal, you should be in the center of Sschlinderdimple. Or at least that works for me. It's worth giving it a shot if you can't be bothered to run around the underdark.

Except that I can hit the middle portal any time I want on all of my characters who have gone to Sshindy, from the Eveningstar Cavern. They all got the missives in one run though, so I don't know if that has any effect. Meanwhile, a guildy's Wizard cannot, even with all missives (he got them in one run as well). He has to do what you said, go to the Riz Malog portal first, then go to Sshindy. Every time.

I think the game is not always flagging some people when they hit that central portal/get all the missives. Or it's checking the wrong explorer for the flag, and not seeing it, though I couldn't guess what it is offhand. Other than the Demonweb, I don't know what my guildy's Wizard has and doesn't have completed, explorer-wise.

From the Eveningstar Cavern take the left portal to the Underdark (Trader's camp), then turn around and use the portal behind you. It has a Sschindylryin option.

I was never able to get that one to work right for me. I'll have to check it again on a few different toons to try and track down what flags that properly.

Find the Riz Malag portal in the underdark first. After finding that, the toon that found it can use the portal directly to downtown Sschindrlyrn instead of the bus stop outside the city.

I haven't kept track of whats needed to flag for it. It has worked on my two mains the first time i got to of that way.
But I have a third one that just finished the first chain. Keeping it in mind.
