    Default Help for rebuild Light Shintao Monk 20

    It's been a while since the last time i've played DDO, and now i'm trying to get back and play once again my toons. I'm not sure how the monk class has changed through different update, and i need some help for a revision of my build, The original build is made around a human char, but since I made a really bad build finesse-based on my halfling 1TR rogue,I LRed it into a shintao str based build.The hardest part on a halfling is setting up the right enhancement, and i'm loosig my head trying to figure out the most useful combination. I dunno wich stance is better for a shintao monk...the thundering stance looks pretty useful for the increased attack speed and +2 wisdom instead of the fire stance because of -2 on the same stat. I've dropped some useless thing at higter level like lifting the veil and restoring the balance, saving ap for things like monk wisdom and patient tortoise.

    About the feats, i'm pretty sure to use cleave instead another preq for shintao, maybe i have to fix the sequence level progression because, after cleave, all the remain feats are mandatory.

    So any suggestion? Thanks in advance for your tips

    The Wind stance gives +Dex (and -Con), not +Wis, but it is still a pretty good stance. The two stances that have changed the most are Earth stance (now has +1 crit multiplier on 19 and 20 and enormous threat increases) and Water stance (has a bunch of stuff but is still pretty lousy).

    The build you have is pretty standard and will suit you well. One easy change I think is to take Precision instead of Cleave for your Shintao pre-req: while it still cannot be used simultaneously with Power Attack, it lost the half damage penalty in u14 or so and has a pretty significant fort bypass. As a halfling that can load up on Sneak Attack damage (plus rogue active PL), fort bypass can be pretty important in a few situations, whereas Cleave is just for fun.

    There is a lot of HP in the game now, to the point where spending 5 AP for 10 (in Tortoise 2 and 3) is a bad bet. If you are stuck with halfling, I would put those points into your SA enhancements.
