Please share more details on your setup if this the case.
I am in winter wolf form at level 12 so it is 1d10 base and I use frostbite which deals an additional 1d10 on crits. I have IC: blungeon, at least 1 of the nature fighting feat, shield mastery. I think i have improved shield mastery already, but cannot be sure and I cannot log in with it. I know he has at least 10% double strike chance.

Shield I am using is a Seeker shield.

So I am getting a lot of crits which is helping the damage a lot.

    My base stats at creation

    Str: 16
    Dex: 14
    Con: 14
    Wis: 16

rest were at 8. I do have +2 tomes on all the stats, level ups were to wisdom as I will be primarily caster at end game as I hear from guildies that melee dmg really drops after Giant Hold although it can be better than clerics.

i will LR this build to a more caster focus once I get to at least level 16. Then the stats will change a bit and I will increase chr to 16 to make better tracks towards having raise dead scrolls as I so far do not like reincarnate. By dropping Strength to 8. I will also drop the TWF at this time to take more metamagics and hope to push my spell dmg much further.

I've found elmental form to be more useful most of the time, and spell casting is a lot quicker.

That scimitar sounds handy, where'd you find it?

    Az
The scimitar was found in a chest as random gen loot, was quite happy with it as it is boosting my firewall a lot closer to the dmg I was experiencing on my wizard, not near as close to the dmg I was getting with my Fire Savant though.

Yes casting sucks in animal form, but I am not finding it hard to switch out to cast firewall or icestorm and then back into winter wolf form to melee during the aoe. Casters I hit with lighting or greater creeping cold as those generally take them out real quick.

Most of the Druid's spells are AoE and Evocation which means Reflex save for half or no damage (if the mobs have evasion).

So sure, you can throw down a Firewall and fight in it, but with DC's that low all you're doing is going "ooo, look at the pretty colours!" and waiting for mobs to roll a 1 while doing less melee damage than a class that focusses on it.
Ok first off, I started with 2 less then max wis, that one DC...second if ur just casting onn a druid ur doing it wrong. I throw ice storm in water ele, slows everything, and i swing my lit . 2 scimmys, an cast ice flowers or dots....and everything dies.....:P
Most ppl call me Az. Captains crew on G-land.
