Completion time was 268 minutes, and we used about 40 pots for the endfight (no pots before that obviously, we just reentered).

Our hastily assembled and not even nearly optimal party consisted of 8 BrBa members and 4 friends from other guilds, and had 2 member changes on the way beause of real life issues (surprise, surprise, someone didn't have the time for 5 hours raid...). I doubt I can make them do it again

Since we were recalling & re-entering after the initial Lolth fight, we often found plenty of time on our hands while waiting for blue bars to get back


Just preparing for the final rush to Lolth and her portal keepers.


After a couple bad calls, some confusion and a nasty spellward later we wiped. Ana went back to start and we got ready to do it again. This time, we brought friends. And the Cake Djinni for luck.

As far as loot goes, we got the spear, repeater and the warhammer. Not Worth The Effort.

Then again, we also got an elite completion out of this raid, first on the server AFAIK. Still Not Worth The Effort.

But seriously, wow... I bought MotUD but haven't set foot in it yet - looks like a real adventure ahead. It is good to see that on elite it is actually a real challenge worthy of diehard vets with nothing better to do. Where permadeath players may one day go to test their mettle ... right on!

I'm pretty sure we can do it without reentry with a couple of hundred pots, if we do it again with a bit more care, this was our first time ever setting foot in the raid on elite and we just wanted to get it done, plus the group was far optional (no spellsinger, our cc for the few non red named mobs was a shiradi champ druid and monkcher, the only high DC instakiller was busy healing etc.). We only summoned one shrine as well, and had a near-wipe situation when the person making the hand stuck DC'd in the middle of one of the harder fights.

Some notes:
You can't tank the hand, it kills anything in 2 hits max (900ish damage per hit)
Lolth's sp drian is a joke (4k sp drained per hit)
Evasion is not all that useful (I had 55 reflex and barely saved Lolth's attacks, was okay on cometfalls)
The fight at the 2nd orb seemed to be the hardest one (or maybe it made us wake up? lack of arcane cc?)

I'm hoping around the same time they close the obvious reentry loophole for VoN5, Tempest Spine, Twilight Forge & Chronoscope.

I thought we did wipe there. Then release and come back in for another go at it. Come to think of it, how many times did we wipe during the raid? The portal keepers & lolth's 2nd coming wiped us twice as I recall, and the spiky ceiling orb fight wiped us once. Other than that, I can't remember anymore.
