Here are my rather defensively-oriented ideas for the "ditching the abishai set" path. I prefer armor/shield (-1 DC from no monk stance and drop from insightful wisdom +3 to +2) and a wizard level instead of the second monk level, so of course the armor and shield listed are irrelevant here.

I'm liking the idea of integrating 10/20/30 amp into the gear to free up both hands at all times, but of course just using a healing amp stick for the times you want to have a good aura is generally sufficient.

It's too bad we don't have Divine Augmentation IX in loot

    Shield: Wall of Wood

    Implosion setup:
Main hand: Lob stick +2 wisdom\greater spell pen IX
    Off hand: greater evo focus

Bracers: Healing amp 10% of superior parrying
    Ring1: +8 wisdom
    Ring2: Tod cha+6, con+1, 20% amp
Boots: Large guild augment HP, +13 balance  use expeditious retreat scrolls\spell every 5 min
Gloves: Purple Dragon Gauntlets: Strength +7, Insightful Constitution +2, Healing Amplification +30%
Belt: Belt of the Sun Soul: Constitution +7, Insightful Wisdom +2, Concentration +15
Cloak: Epic Cloak of Flames, +6 dex, good luck
Trinket: Holy Symbol of Lolth: Spellcasting Implement +15, Nullification +102, Radiance +102, Impulse +102, Exceptional Charisma +1, Exceptional Wisdom +1, Embrace of the Spider Queen / VP Ioun stone (archmagi for buffs)
    Neck: Torc/Noxious Embers
    Helm: MinII GS HP
    Goggles: GS SP conc opp
Armor: Epic Cavalry Plate, -15% ASF or toughness
Thelanis: Takhysys, Tenauch, Vitriolus, Kalav, Leprous

I am not advocating the use of the abishai set. I am saying that since getting reliable EE SP does not come at a reasonable expense, it would be far better to pick up both necro focus feats. It makes an incredible difference.
