All you need is to max out Charisma. Everything else is optional... why?
If you are pretty and know how to talk, you can get away with everything... get all the freedies and have people carry your stuff around.

Human bard would be best.
Con must be maxed out, some Int Str Wis, a lot of Cha, no need for dex as you will be relying on social skills not melee.
Feats
Force of personality
Endurance
New Feat
Sleephard
You can still function normally even at -9 hours sleep
Khyber - Officer in The Stormreach Thieves Guild
Steeles (TR 1 Paladin 20 / 8 Epic - TWF) - Steeley (Monkadin - Pal 18/Monk 2/ 8 Epic - Unarmed) - Steeltruhart (TR1 Paladin 17 - S&B Bastardsword) - Steelforged (Pal 20 / 8 Epic - SWF) - Steeltruhurt (TR1 - Pal 8 / Ftr 2 - THF) Steelsouls (Clr 17 / Pal 3 /8 Epic)
Human no class Level 0
2 stats maxed : charisma and intelligence.
2 skills : Listen and concentration.
One feat : oppportunist.
Bard ofc! how else are you supposed to write inspiring songs for this amazing event!
High charisma so you will be a blast with the ladies/gentlemen, get lots of free stuff and take pics with all the nice ppl.
UMD is a class skill, so you can test all the new stuff like a pro - max it.
Take all two weapons fighting feat line - it is a little known fact, but it helps not only two diferent weapons at the same time, but also two controlers or any other dual stuff.
As for enhancements, go virtuoso so you have enough songs to fascinate everyone and be given the first spot in line.
Go elf, because we all know elfs don't need to sleep, and who would want to sleep!
As for gear, don't worry, I'm sure with this build you will come out of it fully geared![]()
druid
Max wisdom
14 con
14 strength
and your good to go, if your a halfling >![]()
Human Monk
I hate crowds so the quickness and evasion of a monk would help navigate the convention floor I would imagine.
Race: Elf
Gender: Female
Stats: Max Cha (beauty) and Dex (gracefulness feeds into attractiveness)
Gear: The skimpiest outfit you can find that won't get you arrested
Some charm abilities wouldn't hurt, but considering the level of desperation pervading events of this nature, supernatural charms are hardly necessary.
GenCon (and most of the world, probably) is now your oyster.
Str 8 (collectables have no weight)
Con 16 (gonna be a lot of walking )
Dex 10
Int 12 (just enough to not get lost)
Wis 8
Chr 18 (best way to bluff your way through the crowds and get swag)
I think I would go Bard for Haste, Heroism etc.
Gear:
Buy an extra bag from the DDO store for sure.
I recommend light "armor" as it will likely be hot.
Comfortable boots are probably best...no Madstone here.
Pick up a good charisma + ring
Probably need a heavy fort belt...those queue lines can get rough
Various rations from the tavern are a must
Probably need a good haggle app...er...item
Everything else is personal preference
Skills:
Max bluff
Max haggle
Max concentration
Max UMD
Feats:
Toughness (of course)
Skill focus bluff and haggle
Extend Spell so you dont have to stop to buff so often
Wizard...doesn't matter about stats or gear, just make sure you memorise grease.

A high Con is almost mandatory, because you'll be rolling fortitude saves aplenty vs. troglodyte stench. Be wary and avoid them when you can!
A high Spot is useful for finding interesting booths and giveaways.
Make your character a Wizard and memorize Dominate Person so that when you meet the DDO staff they'll be really, really inclined to give you a lifetime subscription.
Halfling would be the best to tackle a convention because of his small size and ability to slip through legs. To do that, he would need to be a rouge, theif acrobat; would have esspecially reset his enhancments for this convetion.
Stats:
STR: 12 Moderate to hold all his loot from those pepole who give away free stuff
DEX: 18 High to get around the crowds
WIS: 10 Not needed too much, but can help with decision making
CON: 14 might not be high enough, but could get him through it if he's carefull
INT: 12 Again, for decision making and spotting good deals in teh dealer room
CHA: 8 Dump it; when you can just cut someone's ankles you don't need to be charismatic, just good at avoding security.
Voice of the master slotted at all times to get the maximum enjoyment and moneys worth out of the convention.
Carry a few Jewles of fortune to use too, so that you get maximum swag as well.
That's not lag, it's just DDO trying to become turn-based again.
Feature wishlist: colour-coded HP bars; red/blue teams in raids; rez-timer in party menu
Bug report form link
Stats: In order of importance:
CHA - it's a convention, right? That means interaction, so charisma is most important
INT - have to make sure to figure out where to go and solve quiz questions
WIS - helps with the Spot skill to figure out good deals
CON - to avoid fatigue
DEX - evading and sneaking past people to the front of a crowd (and then again, CHA is important if people notice)
STR - may help with carrying bags, but... see equipment
Skills:
Haggle - it's a must, of course
Spot - find the good deals and events
Equipment:
A portable hole to put all the goodies in (and that's why STr is least important)
Lots of great stuff here to consider to survive a Gen-Con.
I think i'd got to go with the 1/2Orc Barbarian. Max str and con with with Intimidate as prim skill. You'll get pritty much anything u want, when u want it, from anyone iu want to get it, no matter what stand/booth ur at. You can handle any of the food or drink couse lets face it, you've most likly have had worse. your own stench over powers every one elses so no worries there :P.
When ur big and strong U get that High Charisma hot chick hanging onto ur arm for protection from those that are immune to even the strongest of charm abilities.
All u really need for equipment is some kinda outfit with shocking guard to stun them pesky high dex type that try to take ur goods. if it don't deture them it should stun them long enough for u to get a real good grip
and lastly: When ur at that table top game (or any other really) it would be advisable for the game master to let u win. other player character races don't pull arms from there sockets when they Loose, 1/2Orcs are know too :P.
All you need is to be a level 13+ druid. Have moderate strength to carry your things, and good wisdom for a sense of where to get the best stuff. Use water elemental form, and no one will want to get near you because you're so wet, so moving through the crowds will be a piece of cake. Have the Cannith Boots of Propulsion on for the speed and jumping ability, so that you can quickly get from one booth to another, and jump over them if needed. The slippery floors you leave behind will slow everyone else down, leaving plenty of free goods and deals for you to pick up. If you get in trouble with security for all this, your wonderful pet will take care of them for you. As a bonus, being made of water prevents you from getting dehydrated, so you don't have to carry a water bottle around.
Let's see:
Human male
Class: Bard
Str: 12
Dex: 16
Con: 16
Int: 14
Wis: 10
Chr: 18
Key Feats:
Force of Personality
Negotiator
Die Hard
Self Sufficient
Key Skills:
Bluff
Diplomacy
Haggle
Key Gear:
Charisma item
Bluff, Diplo, and Haggle items
Pouch of Jerky (if you don't have to stop to eat you get more goodies)
Siberys Giant Compass (so you never get lost)
A large amount of plat (this is to bribe the noobs who know no better to go that other stall down the way..yeah the one you just looted)
How this character plays:
With mag charisma and force of personality and negotiator backing you constant use of the diplomacy skill will get you where you need to go. If that fails a quick bluff check will have them looking the other way while you cut in line. Finally with your haggle skill bolstered by your good looks, your winning smile and silky smooth tongue you can charm all the goodies you could ever want. With your trusty compass, pouch of jerky and the money pouring out of yor pockets you don't need to evade the crowds they will get our of your way.
Just take Palemaster - everyone will assume you've come in cosplay.
A large crowd? A well timed negative energy burst will sort that out!
Use Teleport and DD to get round faster than anyone else.
Skeleton Knight will act as your bodyguard and carry everything for you.
Need to sweet Talk the stand staff?...Vampire here.
Have too much stuff to carry through the crowds?...Zombie here.
Too many people using the elevators and escalators?...Wraith here.
There, the perfect Convention Character.

Oh I don't know, how about the usual pally type build, max strength, good con, max charisma. Skills would be concentration, balance and a rank in tumble. Max your turn undead ability for the ubiquitous stream of zombies and your good to go!
