Clarification on Unyelding Sentinel CL bonus

From the wiki:

Lvl 20:

Vigor of battle: Passive Bonus: You gain Cleric, Favored Soul, and Paladin caster levels equal to your Unyielding Sentinel level if you have any levels in those classes.

Does this mean that if I am Cleric 14 / Etc. / US4 I add 4 caster levels?

it increases your caster lvl but not for taking new spells:

u said 14 clr + 4 from sentinel

that means u can cast lvl 7 spells, but when the spell says "4-6 damage for every caster lvl (with 1 maximum or not)" u'll be casting em at 18th lvl, but u won't be able to cast implosion(lvl 9 spell, 17 lvl clr needed)

so ur blade barrier will keep do a bit more damage (max lvl for damage in bb is 15, and u had only 14 clr) but other spells may not increase its damage cause they were already in its max damage per caster's lvl

also increases 1 point ur spell penetration per caster lvl, so ur spell penetration would be 18 instead of 14 (only divine casters with divine ED, arcane casters with arcane ED)
