Default Disappointing loot design due to lack of creativity

I'll just quote here from the other thread:

This docent can be made especially flavorful since it has an 'organic' theme, and instead the opportunity is squandered because you have chosen to be lazy and half-ass its design. For example, instead of the exceptional fortification, it can have:

Greater Blood: -20% fortification, -20% base healing penalty

In fact, docents can be an entire THEME and advantage to the race. Since they can be instantly swapped, you could have a variety of docents each with its own unique ability and micromanage them for a real gameplay advantage. Just some ideas that took me maybe 10 seconds to think up:

    Craftable (+2 Potential)
Mithral Fluidity (+1 Max Dex Bonus)
Spined Body (+1d4 Piercing damage to ranged attacks)
    etc.

Instead, each and every update, the opportunity is completely squandered. I cannot be more disappointed in the docent design for this game. Bring back the guy who made us the Docent of Defiance, Docent of Blood, and Docent of Quickening.
Feel free to use these ideas if you'd like, Feather.

Docents need a lot of work, especially in the mithril/composite end. But they also lack unique abilities that other fleshie armor has. Frozen tunic, anyone? Icy raiments? There's tons of examples.

I'm not saying for every armor/robe there needs to be an exact docent equivalent. But why are there no +4% dodge docents anywhere?

Just going to point out that comparing a docent with mithral AC stats to a medium armor isn't a strictly fair comparison, as the mithral body feat actually counts as light armor. Though, I do agree that warforged have been getting shafted fairly regularly lately. Something that I would like to see would be a feature to convert fleshie armors to docents and docents to fleshie armors using the stone of change.

I think your thread title guarentees you will be ignored by Feather and other devs. It pays not to start with an insult. Your ideas are sound, but next time, give the suggestion, without attacking the creativity of the creative folks.

It may interest you to know that back at level cap 10-16 one of the strengths of WF was the quick swapability of docents. There wasn't one must have docent, instead you would have a bar or two of docents (for example, a complete set of +30 resist docents, a fearsome docent, DOD, shield clickie, etc) which you would quickly swap around as needed the way a melee switches weapons.

Sadly by creating superpowered armor/docets people pretty much have to build around one and not swap much.
