So where is my Conan loin cloth?

How about male armor skin that is nothing but a bowtie and a thong.
Paired with the big top, it would realy get my sorcs charisma to shine trough.

The game shows kill counts... If that doesn't show off your "charisma" of the virtual variety, I don't know what will.

My PnP wizard's favourite spell was "summon kebab" he was intelligent enough at least to keep his robes on.

By all means break out the battle-thong in the sands. Too hot for anything regarding AC that doesn't mean air conditioning there. +1 plate mail of a nice breeze would be alright.

    AC +10
Everytime you swing your weapon, a nice cool breeze gusts over your body... ooh, lovely.

Looks pretty cold in some of those orchard quests though. Cover up that midriff young lady, you'll freeze to death!

The more skin the better. All the vanilla armors are the same on male and females and it's nice to have the option to be able to buy skins that show a little skin.

Just so you know... the new Leaves of the Forest armor apparently doesn't discriminate based on gender:

    Raever of Madness * Stormraver * Fireraver * Dreamraver * Skyraver * Solraver * Technoraver * Raverlution * Foraver

You know, I'm really not feeling that as a style statement. When I can stop laughing. Sorry!

Stop trying to hide behind a word that just allows you to rant about the evolution of the world and instead evolve with it.

And again, all anyone is wanting here is practical. Can't tell you how hard it was to find the right armor skin for my female tank's Cavalry Plate since I wanted something akin to the classic style of Joan of Arc.

My wizard is a different story, I base a lot of my characters in DDO on what I have played in PnP, and the revealing robe skin that I found for her fit perfectly, but there were many to choose from.
Heh I'm not saying they shouldn't have Joan of Arc type armor or even skimpy male armor for that matter, all i am saying is that because some people like skimpy stuff doesn't make it "wrong or incorrect".

Heh if bracers that just go on your wrist can give you some ac, i don't see why armor cant be smexy as well as practical.

The armor in this game is **** fugly as it is so kudos i say for the new skin.

Btw i wasn't ranting here just stating my opinion, I'm not so sure some of you are not ranting though i can understand the want for more choice in the matter. As for hiding behind a word perhaps practice what you preach mhmm.

Heh as for the poor peeps here that are feeling offended perhaps crawl out of your caves and look around the world, sex sells n that's that.

And the pauldrons/spaulders/guardbraces (all names of shoulder protection that are slightly different from one another) are a realistic size and shape. I personally prefer models that would not (if actually worn) restrict side vision or have parts that stick out so much that they would get caught on just about anything from weapons to door jambs.

Those are the kind of armors I would have loved to see. To me personally, some of the earliest random drops still look far better then almost all of the art departments recent work (especially the power ranger armors/SHOULDERPAD armors that have reared their ugly heads lately.)

You know what would have been great? Appearance tabs. ****ing appearance tabs. Plain and simple, yet elegant and intuitive. They even have all the tech required for that available in house already, with lotro still being one of the go-to references in that regard, where customization actually is one of the major selling points of the entire game.

Instead, they chose armor kits, basically the single most awkward and horribly idiotic implementations of customization (I'm serious here, try to think of an implementation thats even *worse*. I bet you can't come up with even one), simply because they monetize so much better; people need to keep buying those for outrageous prices, and of course they do just that.

Several of the random drops are really lovely. I have a large slot brigandine on my arti simply because it looks so good, even though I have to take arcane fluidity to wear it and cast scrolls and whatnot. My melee bard also loves her padded armour. I have a chain for my completionist that is also very pretty - very delicate.

I always try on any interesting slotted armour I pull, just in case.

I don't think anyone arguing for more practical armor is suggesting that, at least I am not. Like I stated previously, I have purchased said skimpy armor skins before and I do not think it is wrong to do so. However, I do have an issue with it being predominant and not allowing for more choices.

Not sure why people continue to try to turn the argument into something more than what it is, we are asking for *more* options here, not less.

Because they don't read the thread and assume that people are complaining.

So far, no one in the thread has said the sleazy stuff should be removed or even that there should be less of it. (Ha, ha!)

We are just asking for some classy choices for women's armor kits, which is what several of the non-reading posters are telling us we ought to be doing! It makes me laugh.

And to the point of boom-chicka-wow-wow male armor; there are about as many sexy dude outfits as there are classy women outfits. They do exist! I really need to get my hubs to login to his main and get me a screenshot of his midriff-baring, hot-pink hair half-orc. He is awesome.

TL;DR: We would spend money on some stylish lady armor, if it were available. Making beautiful armor kits for females that aren't innerwear-as-outerwear is possibly more challenging but it is likely to pay off. Literally.

There are some options for modest wear in the pay kits, but not many. We'd like to see more. The challenge is designing beautiful armor kits that we want to buy, not just adding boring kits because they meet the "more covered up" criteria.

Like for example in the use of the word "sleazy".

I get that there's this appeal to the scantily clad women warrior....but does every armor kit have to be like that? I really like some of the gear that comes on these kits too. I just want all the skin covered up.

For an example. Here's a version of the Spider Armor 2, on light armor.

    so what. lol
