In the interest of fairness, my husband's half-orc looks like he's headed to a bachelorette party to shake his groove thing. He might be the only person I've ever seen actually buy one of the men's armors that is a midriff-baring booty-hugger.

But then, he also bought him bright pink hair, so it makes a statement.

Seems to me the vast majority of non armor kit female armor is not revealing at all, so its not like you don't have options. I get the options may require you to use some less then ideal armor, but oh well, i dont think armor kits that look like the armor we already have is the right answer.

I don't like the armor kit system at all, its way too money-grabby for me. Especially recent ones that are as much as 8-10 bucks each. meh.

I think they should just let you either:
    A) Remodel any armor to use any skin you want. Just set the cost to be fairly high. And if desired, limit it to a week timer to keep it a plat sink.
    B) Do what lotro does and give a 2nd cosmetic-only slot options. Youd put the armor u want to look like in it, but retain the stats of whatever other armor u want.

The heavy armors for this set do look a bit more decent. But they still get these small bits of skin that show for no real reason.

I'm in the don't like to show much skin camp, and it was a pain trying to find a kit for one of the U14 armours - the breastplate. I could have gone with Beast 1 in black / steel (which is what I have on the Cavalry plate) but it felt too samey. Eventually settled on Crest 1 in dark / steel - quite slinky and cleavage and midriff still (sigh) but at least it felt covered up.

I'm not a fan of the huge shoulderpads on everything, either.

I'm with Galeria, I don't want to feel like a pole dancer.

This ^ is pretty d@rn good.

The Whorl 2 on Light Armour looks good too {even if it does show some skin}.

What the heck is up with that Purple Dragon Knight Armour though? Great Lookiing Armour EXCEPT for the stupidly large Shoulder Guard on the right arm.

Seriously Turbine - I've got nothing against Shoulder Guards Per Se BUT tone them down a bit pleeeeease.

Thanks for posting those, Noir! I'll check the medium armor and robe versions of those.

I'll be honest, I gave up after trying on a dozen armors and not finding any that weren't more kitchie-coo than cool. I did find a black robe that was ok and bought it to go over my wizard's elfcrafted robe.

It was nice to have something different, but I didn't like it enough to think, oooh, armor kits! Let me buy some more!

Which I'm sure is what Turbine would prefer. I really don't mind spending money but I don't spend it unless it's worth it.

The boob sash is quite dumb and only distracts.

What is it used for? a napkin? Merit badges?

I get that there's this appeal to the scantily clad women warrior....but does every armor kit have to be like that? I really like some of the gear that comes on these kits too. I just want all the skin covered up.

For an example. Here's a version of the Spider Armor 2, on light armor.

that armor isn't even close to uber!

i think the idea behind female armor is that the monsters spend more time looking at their *ahems* and get distracted, makign the monsters vulnerable to attack

I'm in the no skin camp also. My main character is still wearing the light dragon hide armor from Gianthold Tor because it's still useful and it looks cool, plus she's completely covered up.

I much prefer armor that actually looks like functional armor vs. a pole dancing costume.

Needless to say I haven't bought even on kit yet because I dislike the designs and if I happen to like one and my character is covered up it has a stupid skull(s) as decoration and I hate those.

I am a woman. I live on the 19th floor. I run mostly female characters.

And I really like more skin and love some of the new kits. The OP's picture... the only issue I have is that the shoulder thing kind of looks weird.

OP can choose from the other armor kits that do not show skin. Don't ruin MY options by clamoring to remove or change armor kits that have some skin.

Also, stop insulting people by talking about "basement dwellers" and guys who play girl toons.

Generalizations are insulting and demeaning, and you all should be ashamed for such language.
Also do NOT speak for all womankind. I'm a woman and I do NOT agree with OP and other women.
