Please add a Notebook to the character sheet.

Speaks for itself. I don't think it's arguable that to be good at this game, you need to keep in mind a truckload of information. From how to build your character to what mandatory weapon types to pick up at what levels, there's plenty to keep track of. Heck, sometimes you just discover some cool tactic in a dungeon, but you know you're going to forget by the time you go there again. I myself always have trouble remembering everything when I return to the game from a month or longer hiatus.

Now I'm not the kind of person who alt tabs out to check the Wiki for everything. (Seriously, who does that? That's asking for memory leaks.) Plus the Wiki isn't exactly complete either.

I'd love to have a notebook option on the character sheet, where you have several pages to leave notes for yourself. If storage is a problem, make it clientside only.

Sure we could have an actual notebook in front of us IRL, but let's face it, in this day and age, it's just inconvenient, compared to text you can edit on a whim.

I do use a mini-notepad - things like gear that's shared between alts, players that i've promised to help out, collectible lists, pathways in Shadow Crypt/crucible/shroud 5x5 puzzles, etc. I don't think it's inconvenient at all.

I would enjoy a notepad on the character sheet though.

I do that, and while I'm at it, I update the wiki if I notice something wrong or incomplete that I can fix.

while i do keep a notepad and pen in the drawer here in front of me at the computer just to take ddo notes. (like which symbols for the wheels in Co6...hehheh) I would LOVE an ingame note pad of any sort; the bio page just doesn't do it.

You actually don't need to do that. You can add links to your in-game browser so that you can access sites such as the Wiki with a simple Ctrl+D (or whatever shortcut you have MyDDO set to) without ever leaving the game.


Just open up MyDDO, and go to "Admin" at the top (right above the Lottery box).
Then, on the left hand side of the page you'll see a "Links" menu. Click that and go to "Add New"
From there, you'll be on a form where you can title and set links such as DDOWiki, various puzzle solvers, or really whatever site you want!

Then, whenever you want to check out the Wiki, instead of Alt Tabbing, you just go to "Links" at the top of MyDDO (right below the Search box this time) and select the site you want to visit.

Haven't tried recently, the last few times I tried that I wasn't able to set my in-game myDDO browser to be mozilla instead of internet explorer. I shall have to give it another go next time I'm logged in.

While I really dont see a need for it I am not against it if you doesnt take much dev time or create lag or bugs. I guess I am an old fart or something for stuff I really need i have a pnp set up and I dont like going away from my game screen any more than I have to.
