Used to be beholders.. But they got some nerfs in recent years. So I think maybe the new Mistress of Agonies in the raid.. They are always a monster you have to prepare for, and sound really scary when they sacrifice something. Even the other monsters must be afraid of them.

EE LoB without a doubt. 1 shots the dps.. Hits the tank for 400 damage.. Crazy tough. Though for old content yea gota agree pre patch Abbot, when cap was 14 on elite was insanely tough. Beat him plenty, but dont think we ever managed it without some deaths, he deserves an epic mode.
Non boss wise:
I'd say Hezrou and Bearded devils are tied. EE ones especially in DA or Servants of the Overlords im sure are responsible for more deaths then any other regular trash monster at high lvl.

Mimics. The the one in acute delerium, but any really. They also have some funny lines in the new challenges.

That bugbear riding a cat in red fens. Just seems really out of place and odd.
