As the title says.
A few posters in here seem to make it a sport to post as much false information as possible, restricting it to one post a day would most certainly clear that up.

May I counter-suggest this?
Delete the forums entirely. Insert a blog. Force someone from staff to write something on the blog daily. Allow comments (or meh, whatever - don't, I wouldn't mind - as long as the forums get deleted). Have the cube eat those it chooses.
It would at least help turbine hide the thousands of messages about broken stuff and complaints a lot easier!
It would also remove the need for the silly rep system.
And who wouldn't support that?
(oh right... those who game it, and get their friends to pile-on when they want to shut someone up)
/notsigned.
Maybe as a punishment for a couple infractions. But that's it.
Any false information on any forum tends to get completely ripped up within minutes of posting. This includes, but is not limited to, incorrect information, correct but incorrectly spelled information, correct but incorrectly formatted information and of course stuff that is correct, formatted well, spelled correctly but is simply being commented on by a nitwit.
Giving out false information on a forum usually leads to it getting corrected by the population very quickly anyway. Now harbor chat, that's another story entirely.

Perhaps the OP wasn't well thought out?
I would go on and on, but I see many others have pointed out this suggestion is an epic failure.
