    Both. They're in random loot in very high level tables, right where you'd expect to see them given the interval between +1, +2, and +3 tomes- they continue that same pattern.
    Then they're also in Forgotten Realms non-raid quests on Epic Elite difficulty as bonus treasure that will occasionally appear.
    +4 tomes are in the raid, Caught in the Web, on any difficulty, while Epic Elite also has [REDACTED], which I'm sure many of you have already guessed.

    Regarding people using Raiding the Giant's Vault to gauge treasure tables: Bear in mind that the two side chests at the end of that quest were intentionally given negative modifiers by the designer of that quest. They're lower level than the quest level. That's one of very few places in the game where chests don't match the quest CR.
    Really did make hard dice check to get anything too. Seem to me when runing the epic elite during the last +2 loot it did nothing to the loot. So my question a simple one. How do we prove what level the chest is opening up at?(Maybe if the chest has level on it? or gives you a feedback in text what level the chest your opening.) It really not that hard to run quest on epic elite. Though after farming couple toons through 10 to 20 runs seeing nothing different on that so call plus 2 weekend I got tired running the quest with no reward difference that I could tell. If there really is a change should it not be noticable really easy on a +2 loot weekend? I was going off the min. level the items since did not see any real difference in the loot. If you need loot gems to get good loot out off epic elite's then this game really has become paid to win.

    I'm not sure that proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that absolutely nothing is going wrong with the loot tables when a loot bonus is active. All it proves is that some end reward or some chest somewhere is working correctly.

    I just wish we had more information on how that particular piece of loot was spawned. Oh well.

    One that was seen on Lamannia but (AFAIK) not so far on Live was Cremating, a weapon prefix that grants Greater Incineration.

    While Incineration has a low-ish proc rate (tested at 2%) and so isn't very good, Greater Incineration has a very high 5% (personally tested) proc rate for ~280 damage, which is more damage than Lightning Strike and Shocking Burst combined. Especially with Fire immunity being quite rare at endgame now this could have some very strong combinations.

    During the +2 loot event there were a few completions of EE Caught in the Web (level 26 base, +2 loot event) in which a lot of people used +2 loot gems (level 30 loot overall) as well as a lot of Demonweb EE with gem ransacks (level 29 loot) and Dun'Robar Matron EE with gem ransacks (level 28, plus many of us feel that chest is +1 or +2 loot on Elite).

    If gems and the server loot boosts work as advertised, I'd have expected more of these 'hidden items' to be found.

    Almost without a doubt this is the wrong thread for this tidbit, but on the off-chance it's related:

    Often during a TR I farm quests. I'm also one of those peculiar types who usually goes and gets his end-reward when I can depending on the quest.

    The renown reward at the bottom consistently goes up in quality with more repetitions of the quest.

    By my final normal and casual run on something I farm a lot, i.e. E, H x 12, N, C, I am virtually (maybe literally), guaranteed a Legendary Victory for the N and C runs. (I'm thinking of Sane Asylum and Monastery here, but the same thing happens in Ringleader, though you end up with Trophies rather than Legendaries since it's low level)

    The final, best renown runs also coincide with the 'you have run this quest frequently' message.

    It is probably renown specific, but hey, maybe it's not. I'll try and document this more fastidiously this life and present the stats.

    I believe what they *should* do is increasing the loot level.

    Have you read what Shade wrote? I can sorta confirm that loot was devolved during the boost days, with 4 toons ransacking the Demonweb "Ruins" side optional chest, the Trial by Fury (Hezrou) optional chest, and several ADQ1 loot runs till ransack notice. I used an eberron fragment turnin lootgem as well, same deal.

    Its like you are selling magical beans really, you say its working, but they are yet to grow.

    As far as i understand these are our options. They seem to come with a sacrifice somewhere, so i believe they should be more worthwhile.

    Building a character for it (he gets ransack timers)
    Meta Farming
    Buying Boosts
    Patiently waiting on events

    Its okay you dont want to reveal formulas, please provide a few examples however, what can players hope for using a loot boost. Thanks.

    In this fashion would be nice:
    pseudo.example1: You can get +6 xy armor of xx @ loot level : ##
    pseudo.example2: You get +.25% chance at store loot
    pseudo.example3: You get tomes with +.33% chance

    The problem with building a character for it (via the Dragonmark of Finding) isn't the ransack timer, but the limits of the Dragonmark itself. As I asked earlier in this thread, my understanding about the Dragonmark before this update (and I doubt it's changed) is that the Treasure Finding can only be used once on a particular chest per life and has a hard cap of level 23 loot.

    Same logic applied: If you want exp do exp runs. Leveling from 1 to 20 is already trivial. Unless you are grinding for PLs in which case you knew what you signed up for :P.

    Still making the 'trivial' pl grinding even more trivial for a short time is far more beneficial than playing with a LUCK based loot system. If loot wins I hope you find that out, just because there is a bonus doesn't mean you or any one will pull anything good. Why go with chance when you can go with something static?

    this is a shame... sorry but i don't believe that people vote for that bonus... in fact, when my brother made his vote he said that 35% xp was winning like 5:3:1 to +3 loot and challenge/gulid boost respectively.

    how is that turbine?

    Just to be clear, the bonus related to the Player's Choice Summer Sales Event has not yet been activated. The guild renown bonus is a separate thing. Stay tuned!

    Some loot will not appear in the chests currently in game unless there is a loot boost (and loot gems running). If the loot boost works properly that is. I would rather see a +3 loot boost if I had any faith that it actually would work on all higher level chests. The +35% heroic exp is nice, but I am having more fun playing end game right now than going back to the TR grind.

    It is funny. Turbine came up with this really novel way to figure out what 'far too many people' really wanted. They called this new-fangaled technology a 'poll'. Unless voting changed over the last day or two, xp bonus was running away with the competition. Silly people voting for what they wanted rather than just accepting what other people claim they really want

    There is no way to control what Turbine does with the loot boosts. So that makes it, a questionable implement in an already declining quality of a game.

    If you implement something like this; where you have to use boosts and p2p content all the time in order to get good stuff, it's makes the game very unbalanced as a whole.
    Secondly they could just give item A. A procentual chance, universally. Make it so that +3 tomes can drop in any chest above lv 10, albeit with a 0.1 procent chance.

    This is where Turbine is making huge, costly mistakes.
