It was a couple of weeks ago and I don't even remember the fellow's name, but wanted to give a shout out regardless.
I had just gotten my last Greensteel ingredients for my Lit II kopesh. I was in the Shroud. Harry just got his ass kicked. The dust settled. Congratulations went around to all for a smooth PUG run. I stood before the Altar of Devestation, the grin on my face readily apparent. I reached into my pack to start the crafting of my mighty weapon...
...then realized I left my shards of supreme power in the bank.
I wept, knowing I'd have to wait for the raid timer to expire before I could come back.
A friend advised I try to ask around in general chat for someone in a high level guild to let me on their airship so I could use their private altar. Having occasionally glanced at what goes in general chat, I was skeptical, but I asked anyway.
The kind hearted fellow answered. After giving grateful thanks I searched his rather large airship for the altar but couldn't find it. I send a tell, "Oh, looks like you guys don't have the right altar. Thanks anyway, though." He then replies "****, my bad. Hold on a sec." He comes back to the airship from whatever he was doing, *buys the altar*, apologizes, and goes on his way.
*blink* *blink*
Offers to at least compensate the cost were met with a "I'm good, thanks."
Dude, you rock, and have my utmost thanks. I hold my new weapon proudly.
A nice reminder there are many non-****s in our merry game.
