Dear turbine, i was just scammed by someone misrepresenting themselves as an alt of a friend, i gave them over 60 epic scrolls 2 dozen assorted small and medium ebberon shards and 3 large devil sclaes. This is probably the same person wwho has been harassing her before, rolling toons with names similar to here I cannot believe that you can not make this right, i have been a VIP player for 3 years, and my reputation as a fair and honest player speaks for itself. I cannot believe that turbine does not place more value in its customers and is unable to fix situations like this. This incident and an inability on your part to make it right smear your company's reputation and sour players towards you. Yes i know its my fault for making the trade, but they were mirepresenting themselves as a bank toon of a friend who i have been playing this game with for 3 years. I did submit a ticket as soon as i knew what was going on, while the imposter was logged in and in party with me.
Your inablilty to correct such an egregious violation of the EULA is making not only myself, but friends and guildies re-evalute our desire to keep paying to play this game. We feel like we are not valued as customers or a community.
As a company if you dont take care of your regulars then you will soon have none.
Please reconsider this and make it right, make us proud of you turbine,
sincerely yours,
Tonyclifton
update: I find it ironic that my original post was pulled down within an hour of going up. It appears turbine is more than willing and able to police the forums, but not the servers. I edited out any names from the original post, although my friend had no issues with me posting her name.
And just what good would it do banning the harassers account? they no doubt created a seperate account just for that. Can you not trace my goods? Maybe the scammer mailed them to their main account.
Come on turbine do the right thing, earn your company and your DM's some renown and fix this please.
