I have been informed that the damage of the animal forms changed to the monk's unarmed attacks if they take a monk level, and remain centered with monk and druid weapons. I'm not sure if this is a glitch that the admins are working to fix in the next update or if this was intentional, but it makes me want a Kung fu Panda build.
Currently I'm thinking about a halfling 18 levels of monk, 1 level of druid, and then either 1 level of fighter or rogue. With rogue I could incorporate trap skills, with the fighter I get a bonus feat and the +ac enhancement. I know that while in an animal form two weapon fighting and two handed fighting don't apply, so I would probably go with the following for my feats:
(3 monk feats +7 level ups)
Weapon finesse
Toughness
Stunning fist
Combat expertise
Dodge
Mobility
Power attack
Improved Critical: Bludgeoning
Not sure about the last few I should take though. The ultimate goal is to make a decent AC tank, while mauling people in bear form. I wanted halfling for the image of the tiniest race transforming into a giant brown bear (not a panda, but close enough).
Some questions:
Can I use monk moves in bear form? (fist of light, stunning fist, etc.)
Would my AC be high enough to tank? (+10% from bear form, high dex with weapon finesse, combat expertise, and strong wisdom)
Do you think the admins will fix the unarmed druid damage error in time?
If a druid has a rune arm equipped can they shape shift? (a tad off topic, but I'd like to know anyways [the rune arms say they are made of gems, not metal]
Can you help me work out a decent build with these in mind?
