Unhappy Please help,"there was an error generating a hash code for a patch file."

When I lanuched DDO after the lasted hotfix, it throwed out an error said "there was an error generating a hash code for a patch file" when it came to "update programs". And it happened when updating dndclient.exe as I observed. I have tried changing firewall setting, clearing temporary internet files and SSL, copying and pasting dndclient.exe which in the backup floder, registering the 2 .dll files of DDO. Please help.
    P.S. my OS is Windows 7 64-bit

Here's an article about that error from the Turbine Support Site, is this the error you are getting, and does this help?

Thanks for the link. I tried it but wouldn't work.

Finally, I copied the file "dndclient.exe" from my friend who had already updated successfully. It worked! My ddo client could update data then and I can play now. I think the dndclient.exe may has some bad coding since so many people have this problem, hope turbine can correct it.

    Glad you got it working!

Hm, I haven't seen any reports of this problem, do you know of others who've had it?

This is a problem that's not related to dndclient.exe programming. It still could be related to Turbine's updater, but its more likely related to something on the end users' system (firewall, transmission/update interruption, etc.) that damaged or did not fully transmit an intact dndclient.exe. If it had been a problem with the programming of the dndclient.exe file, then copying a friends' copy would be unlikely to fix the problem.

I've also got this problem. Unfortunately I don't have anyone that I could get a dndclient.exe file off so I'm stuck.

What steps have you tried already? Some people have reported success with temporarily turning off anti virus, patching, then turning it back on.
