Just want to say, Ive had a go with this build - my first time as a artificer - and really enjoyed it. There is great survivability (with a little splash into Renegade Mastermaker) and DPS is very solid.
Thanks for posting it!
After a TR, my arti has finally gotten to epic levels, so I'm looking for recommendation on sentient weapons and filigrees.
There's 2 parts to this question:
1) Is it worth giving up on Thunder Forged in favor of a weapon that accepts sentience?
Does the answer change in the 20-27 range where The Epic Fatal Flaw and Legendary Heavy Boltslinger aren't options and choices seem to be limited to Epic Calomel Banded Heavy Repeater and Trapsmith's Crossbow (Level_25)?2) What sets are worth considering, especially when limited to 3-4 filigree slots?
- Celerity - If this haste doesn't stack with the haste spell, limited use
- Deadly Rain - Raw ranged damage
- Electrocution - A nice mix of spell and ranged power
- The Long Shadow - Similar to electrocution, but replaces the electrical spell power with some ranged damage
Thanks,
Indolent
So is it possible to do this build without Harper tree. I do not have the Harper tree? Or perhaps someone could point me into a non Harper Tree Arti
Thanks,
Dustin
The biggest drawback to losing Harper is no Strategic Combat (INT to-hit) and Know the Angles (add +0.5x INT mod to ranged damage). However, the original build predates the Renegade Mastermaker tree. So you could just shift APs from Harper into RMM for the survivability bonuses (e.g., repair amp, Reconstruct SLA).

Still pretty new to the game wanted to know at what level should I put points in the different trees?
