    Default What gives?

It's been a couple days now since I've been able to actually play the game. The first two days I couldn't even log in, I kept getting an error telling me the log on server was full. Noticed there were a few people on here also getting this problem.

Today I was finally able to at least log in and hop onto one of my characters, but that was short lived as I was quickly booted off again telling me I lost connection. Every time I try to play now is met with the same result: a red connection box with about 30 seconds of me standing there before getting kicked off.

So I ask you guys, what gives?

There are many things that can cause connection issues but let me ask you this first one, is this the first time you entered DDO after system restart? If so, try a second time. "First time" load times are usually much longer as DDO and some underlying software load a bunch of things for the first time. Second time might be the charm.

If this -is- the issue, we're trying to figure out why a few people's first load times are so long they can cause disconnects in another thread. If this is not the issue there's a bunch of things to suggest about connection issues based on your type of connection.

Did it "used to be good"? And have you knowingly changed location, ISP, anything? Is yours a wired or wireless connection and have you power-cycled your modem and router (if any) off then on just to reset the connection?

A few days ago there were some "load full" messages - I had to try 2 or 3 times to get in, but I eventually did.

Nothing about my connection has changed, and I've had no major connection problems prior to this. Yeah, load times can be a little long like you said but it's never kicked me off after it's finished.

Give this article a run through but I'd also put in a tech support request as well if you haven't already.

I would point out that the game triggers so much swap activity on logon since the game engine update that the exe is incapable of keeping up with network traffic. On my i5 2.3Ghz w/4GB RAM Win7 64bit machine the only way to consistently avoid the problem is to use a readyboost drive.
