    Sadly I have Comcast, which is the "best" offered where I live.

    So basically you're letting somebody unknown to you have priviledged ( read : administrator ) access to your computer, probably from a remote location over internet.

    I sincerely hope you have nothing of importance ( bank account information, credit card information, passwords to websites, ... ) on the said computer.
