    Default Erratic crashing

I'm running DDO on Windows 7. I have the latest adobe flash player, but no java flash player.

Every time I bring up the ddo software, a screen temporarily comes up that says, "Installing prerequisite software". Then, when the launcher is checking for updates, it always shows me as "Installing files 1/0". This almost immediately disappears, then ddo runs just fine. However, if I keep playing it long enough, it will crash w/o warning, and I get a windows error message telling me the ddo client has stopped working. Once I get rid of that message, I can immediately restart ddo and play again with no problems-right up until the time I crash again.

    Help please?

I'd bet that the first few things are either normal or unrelated. I'd focus on the crash. The knowledgeable reaaders in this forum will want you to post your DxDiag report so they can check your system's hardware, audio video and drivers to help you further.

DDO doesn't use flash or java

DDO has a memory leak that increases with swapping characters. Restart your client after a character swap and you'll mostly be fine.
