Spinner of Shadows - Casual????

Ok I am after the Doubleshot X-Bow, I just got stoned to 16 and am in need of gear between the silver Slinger (still haven't got it to drop yet) and the Double Shot I would be set for weaponry. However, reading the spoilers on the quest it makes it out to be a Raid type adventure. Is is soloable at 16 w/ an artie? How do you do it? Apparently you need to kite the boss while killing spiders but not sure how you would do that being in two places at once?

Or do you have to have a group or at least one partner with hirelings?

It is, but is definitely easier with at least 1 other player. You can collect crystals while being chased, just need to have some decent kiting skills/haste.

Undergeared on normal should be soloable.

I don't know about the x-bow drop rate relative to difficulty, but more chests are better, of course.

Ok, so at lvl 16 Casual I should be able to do it with my pet and Hireling? I am pure Arti so pet is same level.

It is not very difficult to solo. It may be more time consuming because If (not in Elite) you die, you will respawn next to the shrine outside the prison... so you can rez and continue collecting the stuff till you win.

The thing of the silver flame in the middle also gives you some HP and remove poison (I park the hireling there when i solo that).

Being able to run fast there is very useful... so expeditious retreat, haste, striding 30%, etc are good things to have.

Throw a BB and kite... you can solo almost anything (at least for clerics and FVS... I don't have enough experience with Artis).

Don't know about the drop rate in casual, but I would try normal and fail before doing casual.

These folks are correct. I suck at this game and I can solo this quest on normal!

The difference with the artificer is that your BB hits harder and you can kite while running backwards, shooting all the while.
