'Missing' Your Hardcore Server?

I took a party of 6 TRs (One Tempest Ranger - Me) Wizard, Sorc, Fighter, Barb & Cleric into The Elite 'missing' quest which opens the harbinger of madness chain and what did we find waiting for us? CR:21 Hounds, CR:21 Renders, CR:19 Taken and those are just the normal spawn. These arent orange or red names... this was walking into the front gate of the quest. Are you kidding me? In a level 15 quest? Sure its level 17 as Elite, but we were all level 16-17 TRs and stood no chance at completing this quest.

I was very happy to find a group of guys willing to press on despite the impoissible odds which made it fun, but Dang!!! The quest is totally unsurvivable in a typical first life level 16-17 party.

A lot of you were begging for a 'Hardcore' server or difficulty? Go run Missing Elite, it is totally borked.

Actually, its pretty common for elite quests to have mobs several lvl higher CRs then the quest lvl. That particular quest is actually pretty easy once you know it.

All this proves is that being a TR doesn't mean good player. Better luck next time.

Missing is actually a fairly easy quest on elite once you know how to do it; I commonly run it in PUGs and normally complete even without six TRs.

Being a TR does not mean you are automatically able to do anything, it means you made it to level 20 and decided to restart at level 1.

Oh, and if you think Missing elite is hard, I would avoid In the Flesh's end fight!

It's a level 15 quest. Elite is suppossed to represent an elite challenge for level 15 players. The fact that you lose bravery bonus at 18 has no bearing on the base quest level. It's suppossed to be do-able albeit difficult with a group of level 15s.

Firstly, its a lvl 17 quest on elite, probably meant to be challenging to a group of lvl 17, i say probably since i don't know for sure what devs intentions really are.

Secondly, its pretty common for elite quests to have mobs with CRs several lvls higher then the quest lvl (yes even six lvls higher).

Thirdly, whats the point of your whining, following your train of thought, its supposed to represent an elite challenge to lvl 15 group, who says that it cant be challenging to lvl 17 party. If the challenge is to much for you, run it on lower difficulty, and no being a TR does not mean you are entitled to bravery bonus.

lol, who said anyone was whining? I had fun in the quest, but it is most definately too much for a group of 15s to handle and I made that clear. Go vent personal frustrations elsewhere.

hm, dont think its to hard. I just soloed the quest yesterday at level 17 with my char. Yes, the beholder is tough, but doable...

Same with the the huge caster dmg espacially in RwtD. Change tactic, group or your playstyle..

And if you cant make it elite, go and make hard and or normal run..

I failed the quest on a TR, therefore it is bugged. Sounds legit.

In all honesty, a lot of TRs aren't much better than first-lifers by the same person if they're getting level appropriate gear, for the sole reason that many people tr straight after 20, and end up without appropriate leveling gear (some of which can be a game-breaker, like a PLIS on a sorcerer. Even with gear factored in, a bad player with a tr and with gear is still a bad player.

Tldr: TRs fail quests too, suck it up.

Wait until you do epic elites, the mobs are 15+ levels above the quest level.
