    Default Wolf companion - Armour?

Can our pets actually wear something in the armour/docent slot like the Arti's pets wear docents or is this just lazy copying of the UI?

    If they can, what?

    Leather armor for sure.

I've heard (but NOT from reliable sources) that they can also equip non-metal heavier armor (dragonscale, etc). I have not tested this yet.

I can equip my medium blue dragon scale armor, and my darkleaf banded mail to the wolf. Don't have any non-metal heavy armor to test. I also haven't tested whether equipping medium armor affects the wolfs evasion enhancements.

THough as a practical matter I don't see anything without at least medium fort being a very good choice. A pack spell gives +30% fort, but besides that nada.

Yeah white scale looks good, as does DT with Fortification.

OK, so tried a cloth outfit and no dice. Is any preperation required like changing handwraps to collars?

For leather, definitely not. Just put a piece of no RR leather armor that is usable by a true neutral character of your level into the spot on the pet's character sheet.

Handwraps are changed to collars at the General Crafting station by combining them with 3 of each Greater Elemental Essence. Wolf Companions are confirmed as True Neutral like regular wolves since the True Neutral effects of Stability type armor can effect them.

The Device Workstation, not the Cannith Crafting Station, that are used to make traps, rune arms, potions and whatnot. It requires 3 Greater Fire/Water/Earth/Air Essences and said Handwraps that are then converted into a collar. It is a fairly new addition and might be a work around as well for lack of trap parts dropping that were used to convert handwraps to modules for Artificer pets.

    We can make potions?!

God, the amount of stuff that this game doesn't tell you about is mind-boggling.

Rogues/Artificers could make a lot of stuff at the device station...but there seems to be a lack of trap part drops that are required for most of them.

It's there to handle +14 and higher wraps.

The 'potions' are grenades, not potions.

You can use trap parts to convert handwraps to collars as well, if you have a rogue/arti toon or friend to supply you.

After trying leather it appears to be just leather and not cloth they can wear. No idea why but he can wear his dinner but not his pajama's. Go figure.
