Default Challenge supply chests should give renown

    Title basically says it all.

Time spent in challenges basically generates next to no guild renown compared to "normal" questing, and I don't think that should be how it works.

    Please add renown to them.

it would support guilds doing challenges together and maybe an increase to posting for challenges on the lfm. Now on the other hand most challenges are only 5-15 mins long (i think dr rushmores is the longest at 20-30) and that is the reason why you dont get as much for doing challenges v quest not to mention you already get exp, i've gotten tons of decent loot, mats, and as you said some renown. The mats your farming for in said challenges are the absolute easiest mats to farm for in game. Green steel you have to pull teeth to get together then craft, thus more rewarding. Dragon Touched you have to go through and do every quest, get the runes you want or farm enough drunes to exchange for the ones you want and do SoS. Many challenges are easy and quick, and therefore should not reward you like the quest should. I think they would rather have quest give more exp to encourage guilds to do quest/raids together.

    Yes that would be great.

Also, anyone know if the jewels of fortune work on the challenge chests?

theoretically they should, mainly cuz it is for chest after all

*edit* to those challenges that offer chest/loot

I agree. In fact, I run challenges MUCH less (30-60% less) than I would if the reknown return was close to what I expect from traditional questing.

I do think that they should have a reduced chance of dropping trophies and legendary victories, but somequests are 1-2 minutes long that give those on end rewards as well, so there is certainly a precedent.

I am just asking for more then "6 guildies go into a CR25-30 challenge and quest together for 3-4 hours and come out with under 1000 renown total"

Even if challenge chests dropped renown, they would be significantly inferior to the renown generated by quests of similar duration because they have no end reward.

That they do not drop renown is an oversight. As the date on that post suggests, it's unlikely that the oversight will ever be rectified.

Only a couple challenges are in the 5 minute range, and chances are you still need to add 3 more minutes in order to get your completion most of the time. With a run that short, you're going to end up with 0-1 chests. Time is Money, most likely 0. Buying time you'll probably get 1 if you don't run out of time before the marilith dies, depending on how fast you spawn her.
Most of the challenges are in the 15 minute range, and also only give 1-3 chests. Many regular quests are equally short, and some give that many or more chests PLUS the end reward which can all have guild renown in them.
Rushmore is the longest, as you said, taking 30 minutes to get 1-2 chests, MAYBE a 3rd if you followed the right path and had a little luck with sigils. 50 minutes to get all 5 chests.
Point being, renown definitely needs to be added to the challenge chests.
