Preorder - everywhere I look.

Everywhere we look we see all the benifits of preordering MOTU and when you do actually order you learn preordering is over and done... so I paid a specific price to get X Y and Z preorder benifits AS ADVERTISED but I didnt get anything other than a tome of learning with the expansion.

This is similar to my thread I posted in regards to Turbine selling Feat swap stones when Fred was not able to accept them. (He's working now) but wasnt when I needed the feat swap.

Where are you seeing the pre-order, I just went looking for it and can't find it anywhere. I then went to the page to order MoTU and there is no mention of any spiderling companion anymore.

So you looked at a web page a month ago, it said you'd get a spiderling, you waited a month to buy it and assume you're going to get something from a deal that no longer exists.

I agree that since the preorder period has passed, the pre-order marketing clutter should be cleaned up. It is bad for business (as the OP pointed out) and is generally unprofessional.

On all the official pages there is NO mention of the spiderling or any other features that you can no longer get that I could find.

Could there be forum posts about it? Sure, but there's forum posts going back years that detail game information that is no longer correct, removed, changed or updated. But the forum is not an "official" page, it's simply information that was available at the time it was posted.

The cinematic jumps to mind. I "think" (but could be wrong) that there are more. I don't pay attention to them anymore. Perhaps they have been cleaned up.

Less, Turbines fault, but I still see adds on other web pages about preordering the expansion.

I dont care if they had ads for the pre-order still up until next year. The expac is live. PRE means BEFORE. Sorry but OP is (insert insult). There is no defending the OP and there is no blaming Turbine.

Sorry, but if you did not grasp pre-order meaning you had to purchase the expansion before it went live, then the fault is on you.

The ONLY reference I could find was on this page:

But even then it has a disclaimer at the bottom of the page:
"*Menace Of The Underdark™ Collector's Edition pre-purchase is only available through June 24, 2012."

Clicking on the "pre-purchase" options just sends you to where you can choose between Base Edition and Standard Edition.
Neither of which even hint at cosmetic pets.

This would have been a much better suggestion if it had entirely consisted of, 'Cut the last 10 seconds or so off the cinematic at the end of the Lords of Dust chain to eliminate reference to pre-order.'

So, what you are asking for, is that turbine immediately removes any and all offers that are no longer available, or are temporarily unavailable. I can see removing notices for offers prior to them being permanently unavailable, but the issue with Fred was an in game bug, that was fixed as soon as possible. Fred was not removed, the feat swap ability was not removed, the item you purchased was still fully functional, the only issue was that Fred was non-functional for a few days. I remember this being very clearly announced both on the dev tracker and the launcher when it happened. In summary, I feel that you are blowing this whole situation greatly out of proportion because you didn't get what you wanted exactly when you wanted it. Sucks to be you.

There were lots of stupid posts defaming Turbine. Oh, it was on the Interwebz, it must be true! Right. Apparently you do care about the spider. Your message is clear...you were wrong and can't accept your own mistake.
