    Default High XP penalty

Those that do the House C challenge where they ad a lv 20 to party that leaves once the lowbies enter the lv 20 quest should get 0 XP.

It's and Exploit that needs fixing.

No. When you could power level by running a 20 through the quest it was an exploit. Here it is a toon below level running the quest. This is no different than opening any other quest.

If they cant open it themselves.... It's an exploit.

Is there an instance where a group of, say, level 5 toons can actually make it through a level 20 challenge? I've never tried it, but it would seem to me they wouldn't last very long anyway. If this is the case then exploit or not, it really doesn't matter.

Can't you pick a level higher than the max level of your group anyway? I run them solo, and I seem to recall having the option to pick a difficulty level higher then my current level. If that's the case, what's the benefit of having a level 20 open it up and then leave? Why not just pick level 20 from the menu and go?

    Am I missing something here?

I know of plenty who solo them for the XP to speed level TRs. It happens.

But that doesn't answer my questions.

If I'm a level 8 in a group with four other level 8s, can't I just pick the maximum level from the menu and run on that difficulty? If so, then what's the point of a level 20 opening it? If we can pick a more difficult level anyway then it's not an exploit.

If, however, a level 20 can open a level 20 challenge for my group of level 8s and we can survive, then I say good for us! We deserve the XP!

I think they're using the 20's to open up CR 21 or higher, which *is* locked out unless you have a 20+ in the party.

BYOH. Know it, abide by it, or don't mess with those who do.

I recall opening Cursed Crypt for you. Was that an exploit?

Nope. People join parties and open elites all the time. It was a quest lower than my level and I got 0 XP. The tomb of the tormented was broken/closed and so it was the only way to do this quest.

When a level 5 can enter a quest that isnt open to him because of his level, that's an exploit. I could have entered that quest at level 20 if the tormented hadnt been down for repair.

Side note- I still havent gotten the item I was after.

AT the end of the day, who cares? If that is how they have fun leveling their toons, how exactly does it affect the rest of us? How is it really different from all the free to play people who post lfms that they need an elite opener so they don't have to put the work into unlocking elite? Or groups that look for openers of the shadow crypt to xp farm/loot farm it without putting in the work of flagging?

If they are still RUNNING the quest and succeeding, more power to them. They are obviously enjoying the challenge and meeting it, and deserve the rewards. In the old days there used to be a bonus for running quests at higher levels than you were. If they want to go back to that playstyle, it doesn't hurt me. Everyone levels in different ways and speeds. Let other players find happiness as long as it's not hurting someone. And having your ego dinged for not leveling as fast as someone else is not harm, for the record.

I'd rather see this than people who join groups to pike to collect xp and loot and do nothing the entire quest. They are still earning their xp, opener or not.

I understand your point. It's different because with your example, they are still running quests at level and not getting an UBER xp boost.
