    Just as a curious note, why value black scales as twice the value of white scales?

    I was respecting the market. They seem to go for more on the AH than white scales, and people usually have an abundance of the white, not the black. Personally, I like the white armor better...it's way better for saving item slots and for two-handed/-weapon fighters due to the Shield bonus.
