So, the new Attack Speed UI is cool, however it seems to be having issues with the Ranger Capstone. Either the Capstone isn't working anymore, or the UI is ignoring it. See screenshot attached.

I've been reporting it as a bug for about a couple weeks now.. I don't think it was working before after using haste at 15% attack speed... **** that's fast
It's not adding it in on live either, haven't had a chance to test the actual speed yet.

I believe its just a display issue, like Acrobat. I think it will be addressed in an upcoming patch, I know a Dev did make a comment about it at some point after this thread (Well after), but, I can't be bothered finding it.![]()

I don't believe its a display issue. I used a haste item and got 22% range attack speed and it would be worth all the levels to get here if master of archery worked at 25% attack speed. Sorry, to say this but just use haste pots until they fix it... I hope they validate............
That's not right is it?
From my testing on live the Ranger Capstone is broken completely.
I reset my enhancements and spent all of the same points on all of the same things but didn't spend the last two on the capstone.
Fired 100 arrows and counted how long it took to run out.
Took the capstone and repeated the test.
No change whatsoever.
Also note that Ranged Alacrity has an Artificial Cap on it. It doesn't apply to Knocking an Arrow, only Releasing it.
So basically any time you see a stated Ranged Alacrity half it to see the actual speed increase.
And yes, it IS beyond stupid.
Haste is a Enhancement Bonus, where as Master of Archery is a Competence Bonus, so by DDO Logic and Theory, they stack. Meaning you should be using Haste Pots regardless of whether the Capstone is working or not. Don't be cheap, buy DPS Crack!
Interesting, I did some very serious testing a while back with frame rate capture and noticed it was working, but at the 65% of the value on an attack speed boost, which MrCow will confirm a similar number (67%, and I'm likely to take his as more accurate as I'll explain below).
This is partly true, there isn't actually a cap on it, the issue is the Reload and Firing Animations are separate, and the Alacrity only effects the Firing (Attacking) Animation, and only Haste takes this issue in to account (Notice that Haste actually gives you a 22% Attack Speed increase, 15/22*100 = 68%). Now, as per the description of Ranger Master of Archery, it's working as intended. It's providing a 25% bonus to Attack Speed, so a increase of ~16% for the total cycle or Reloading and Attacking.
Do I like it? No. Should it be corrected? Probably. But according to the description, its working as intended. Whether or not its been recently broken, I'm not sure. If you asked MrCow nicely he may be able to some Frame Rate analysis of the Capstone, though it's considerably trickier than Melee as the animations don't always seem to sync (at least that's what I've noticed). I'd do it myself, but with my work, studies, and my lists, I don't have the time anymore.

Just did some quick tests on live since I had to reset my enhancements anyway. Queued up 100 arrows and dug out a stopwatch.
Increase of firing speed with capstone vs without.
Increase of firing speed while using 20% alacrity item vs without, tested with no capstone.
Increase of firing speed while using 20% alacrity item vs without, tested with capstone.
So everything seems normal.
