Glad to see someone tell it like it is!

We are quite happy to be where we are at. Low-Mid 60s and we earned it. It does take incredible organization to ensure your guild is getting every ounce of guild renown, and not getting swallowed by decay. We run a tight ship.

We run what we want to run, and we run together. Buffs and amenities are secondary in this guild as well. Guild camaraderie is where its at with us, and its great to see another guild that sees it the same way as we do!

    Couldn't of said it better.

I am part of a guild that has been around since almost day 1 of DDO (The Madborn) . We do not boot because been gone a month, a week , a whatever.

Being in a guild is more than just work(if it's work it's not a game and not fun) it is having a place to go and chill out with friends. (yes guildies can be friends). I enjoy running quests with my guildies and even have spent nights doing nothing but chatting about who knows what. That is what a guild is. IMO

Others consider gaming a job, or profession and treat guild life the same and may be there type of fun. Good for you and if that's the guild you are in and having fun then good. A guild is a place for like minded individuals and both ways are right if that's what fun is to you.

The one comment that got me in all these post was the military one. I did my time and know people who have done multiple tours and they have no way to get in touch with people during that time. Sometimes it's not possible to let everyone know and gaming probably isn't the top of there list.

To each there own and OP like the idea of a longevity bonus.

P.S. Bunk, Rian, Wolfie, and others of like minds +1 I totally agree with ya all.

You will note in my previous post and a few others also stated that guild comes before level/buffs/etc. I am very much about having a good core group of people with whom I enjoy playing the game. I disagree with the others who state just dump them but that is the way they want to run their guilds. I believe it would be a shame to throw someone out for any reason and the argument stated earlier about being able to log in each month is unreasonable. Regardless, the point is to provide those guilds who do stay loyal and have been around for a long time to receive a bonus for longevity. Maybe I am being selfish in this; we have beeen around since just after BETA. I do think this is a very good idea that Turbine would really benefit from by assisting the casual player and guilds would as well.
