Default Immunities (progressing the poison/disease change)

Mainly looking to get this idea some interaction.

With U14 we saw changes in the way disease and poison work, with certain groups no longer having immunity.

One thing that was mentioned by a developer was the idea of categories of poison/diseases (natural/magical/supernatural). The changes ideally made toons that previously had immunity now be immune to 'simple' natural poisons/diseases. The changes also affected mobs.

I got to thinking, maybe it should work both ways. Shouldn't an earth savant be able to conjure up a powerful enough acid as to deal damage to ancient arachnids? A cold savant should surely be able to best a winter wolf if they are worth anything. Let's not forget oozes, a fire savant should certainly be able to incinerate any type of ooze (even grey).

Simply put, if we are changing some immunities, why not all immunities?

Give 'em time - I bet the next to go are Blindness Immunity (will only protect against old age, but you'll get a +6 bonus to Blindness from Old Age) and Fear Immunity (will only protect against magical fear - the fear of mummies being totaly natural, of course).

My question is this - have red/purple names lost their immunity to poison/disease?

I've been able to use Cloudkill to cause Acid and CON damage to red-named critters. I have not tested any of the purple-named critters.

Good point, I'd forgotten that fear and blindness still had immunities.

I have used Cloudkill to damage the Purple Named dragons of Gianthold Tor when i was getting blooded. It was a pleasant surprise.

You always could do limited stat damage to red names, but only 6 points worth to any 1 stat. What we need to know, can you do the cloudkill con damage to rednames that are immune to poison?

Con damage, or just the acid damage portion?

I don't really care about the asymmetry. Asymmetry is always going to be a part of DDO.

What I care about is whether the change was just dumb (adds nothing to pleasant experience, jars internal cohesion). Warforged and undead being poisoned is just dumb. That's all that needs to be said.

If they do the same thing to Deathblock et al, that will be just dumb too.

Both, iirc. Definitely damage that's how i killed one of the dragons, but it was weeks ago now.
