Default Remove XP Penalty for Repeating Epic Quests

I ran VON3 on Epic Hard yesterday. Had some fun and with the first time bonus for running Epic Hard, got a nice chunk of XP.

Then I went back and ran it again on the same difficulty. This time, since I ran the quest repeatedly while the character was level 10... ZERO XP AWARDED... This is so not cool

There are only so many epic level quests. There are a lot of epic destinies to work through...

It sucks getting penalized on epic XP for stuff that I ran on this character a year ago... If I had known there would be a penalty to epic XP later, I would have saved certain quests for epic levels, and NOT run them multiple times in heroic levels. Just seems like a pointless penalty to me.

Can we please remove the repetition XP penalty (at least from Epic quests)?

Yes, this would help a lot. Luckily for those that ran epic quests before there are always the challenges which give decent XP. Oh wait, I meant the challenges that USED to give decent decent XP......

    Agreed.

Epic repeat penalties should be reset every 7 days like chest ransack.

Or put the repeat penalty on a ransack-type timer.

    Edit: Dang, too slow.

I think a seperate counter for epic vs heroic. Treat the epic quest like a new one.

I completely agree, but I'm going to make a different suggestion as a post.

I think this is a fantastic idea. Quest XP Ransack should replace all repeat penalties.

At the very least, Heroic completions of a quest should be reset upon reaching 20.

I like this idea. Would that cause a problem with tracking favor though?

It is like going to a museum and bragging about how fast you made it through. Or bragging about how fast you finished a good steak.

Hmm, good point. Could set number of completions to 1, if that was a serious problem. Would help TRs doing von3 farming, at least.

I doubt this would be a problem. The flag for what tier favor you have from a quest should be totally seperate from the # of completions counter.

I don't even see a problem with having such a completion ransack timer put on all heroic quests as well. If a player REALLY wants to hang around at their current level for a week just so they can run a quest again for full elite xp, so what? Most players will do their initial run(s) of a quest and level, gaining access to higher level quests and removing any need for the lesser quests when the timers expire.

Some friends and I were talking about this the other day and this is the same thought that we had. With Epic Destinies the way they are, you need to TR to really get any good progress with them.

I'm not sure that 7 days is the right time interval, maybe 14 days, or 1 month, but there should definitely be some sort of reset. That should keep characters from zerging the same quest over and over for max XP, but still be reasonable to go back to quests and run them again after the timer has reset.
