Default It's official, FR challenges are completely worthless now

    http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php...55#post4595455

Exp was the only reason to run these craptastic random loot reward challenges, now that it's gone they may as well close them...

Admittedly, some of them needed nerfing even. While they were at it though, the devs decided to go on an incredible nerfhammer rampage and left nothing in their wake standing...

Yeah, why target the ones that are broken when you can nuke them all from orbit?
God forbid they fix the issues, nope much easier to just makes them useless...

The worse thing? The 20 mins plus challenges in Cannith are now nerfed too, you know the ones that were in no way broken or OP.

yeah- new interesting quests, better graphics, completely epic area, etc etc... all worthless due to some XP nerfing.

With all of the broken stuff in and because of the xpac, you pick THIS?

Double read the tittle please, it says FR *CHALLENGES* not the whole MoTU pack is now worthless.

I can live with bugs knowing that some day they'll be fixed, but making WAI that 5 fun quests give worthless exp and loot? Not so much.

The way I play It'll take me 2 months to max 2 destinies on my main, and now I have to take into account repetition penalties to level them and double check which lfms to join rather then just join the one that looks fun.

Challenge exp was a great safety net for me, "oh I'll join that Von5/6, I can always make up for the repetition penalty by grinding challenges later".

Still worth sacking the one challenge for red scales, but that's about it. I can't imagine anyone, ever, farming these quest for ingredients.

But then again, somebody once told me that they thought people would be really excited to run these challenges over and over again to see what random things they could make...so who knows :P

But regarding the XP, come on, you knew that was way too high! There's plenty of XP without farming challenges, it just takes some more work to get (that being said...glad I already capped out all my destinies on my main)

Yeah, too high sure, but -50% seems rather harsh no?

Just a side note, but I believe both arena challenges drop red scales. Simply because both share the same chests, just like the two "great tree" share the same chests (get ransacked in one and you're ransacked in the other too).
I don't have confirmation for red scales in Fight to the Finish, but DDOwiki does list them there so I guess someone did pull some there.

But again, if they share the same chests, ransacking one or the other is enough... Or you can mix them of a bit of variety. Or run the easiest of the two for your party.

Got a red scale from the wizard chest in fight. Probably a bug. Actually, as bugs now account for over 50% of content, you're always best to say "probably a bug."

I think I wasted my money by pre-ordering this expansion. It has turned out to be a shell of what was promised. And anything that even remotely looks promising or is useful is quickly changed to be garbage by the devs.

If your goal is for players to check out other MMOs (like Neverwinter), then you are succeeding! Gratz!

the title of this thread is not *quite* accurate.

there are actually so few named shurikens and/or lootgen shurikens in the game that using FR challenges to generate shurikens is probably better than relying on blind luck elsewhere. probably. or at least, we can hope.

but yeah, apart from that, pretty much worthless.
