Default The Guardian Angel, A Tanking Party Healing Paladin 18P/2F/5EA

Firstly let me say this is not so much a build as a way of building (but I will go into great detail), taking on as many of the essential roles of a Raid on to one character. You see these types of builds in DPS that have S&B modes, or Casters who can tank. The entire idea of this build is to nearly completely negate the need for a Divine in the party at all, while providing all the tanking goodness you will ever need in any raid that has need of a tank.

NOTES: This almost completely hypothetical, as my Pally is busted and can't get to Eveningstar, and I have others I need to level. Stat breakdowns will be specific for my Paladin, and not necessarily work with yours, just jigger them about a bit. Also, gear is entirely up to you but 2 of the pieces are must have, as without them your mana pool won't be going that far. Additionally this build is incredibly bad to level up as, I'd recommend going pure DPS till you cap and get your Destinies, then LR using a free LR from Kruz. Lastly, this build requires Epic Destinies, and while the listed twists are not necessary they will be incredibly helpful in doing your job. If you just want to read about how this build proposes to work just scroll down to the next wall of text.

Now with out further ado The Guardian Angel

    Human 18 Paladin/ 2 Fighter/ 5 Exalted Angel

Stats: With U14 and old gear being almost completely outdated these numbers will be for as he is gear right now.

34 Point Build- For 32 drop a point from Cha for 28 drop 2 from Str for 36 Point, add 1 to Cha or Wis or Dex

    STR- Base 16+(3 Tome)+(1 exc)+(2 Insight)+(6 ench)+(3 Abishai)+(1 Fighter)= 32 Standing+(6 Stance)+(2 Ship)=40 Buffed
    DEX- Base 8+(3 Tome)+(6 Ench)+(1exc)=18 Standing+(2 Ship)=20
    CON- Base 18+(4 Tome)+(5 Level)+(1 exc)+(7 ench)+(1 Human)= 36 Standing+(6 stance)+(2 Ship)=44 Buffed
    INT- Base 8+(2 Tome)-(1 Brawns)=9+(2 Ship)=11 Buffed
    WIS- Base 8+(2 Tome)+(6 Ench)-(1 Brawns)=15 Standing+(2 ship)=17
    CHA- Base 15+(3 Tome)+(1 exc)+(7 ench)=26 Standing+(2 ship)=28 Buffed

HP Damage and To Hit: To late to do real calcs but, roughly 1-1.1k HP, while it seems low considering, you will be sporting nearly 50% Mitigation as well as a respectable AC and corresponding miss chance and the only person you should need to rely on for healing is yourself. Damage will be pretty crappy, but your Threat should be huge, and To Hit should be sufficient.

Levels: As this is meant to be a Build you LR into, How you place these feats doesn't really matter, but I'll put them in order of usefulness in leveling.

Skillpoints go into Intimidate, UMD, 1 full point into Tumble and rest in Balance

    Level ups go into Con

    How it all Synergizes

Ok now that the Technical stuff is all out of the way, I'm going to explain how I envision the build to work, in theory. In reality, you will probably not end up doing too much melee with this build, It is build entirely to take as much punishment a possible while keeping itself, as well as its party, healed. Using a Combo of Smite the Wicked, Renewal, CLW or CMW/CSW(for actual healing), Avenging light, Rebuke Foe, Strike Down, Divine Wrath, along with Intim and Divine Sac, you should never have an issue holding aggro, and if you do, Save your Paladin Smites to fuel Intolerant Blow. Using Avenging Light is a cheap 300-400 point nuke that will prep Divine Wrath using the Endless Ardor, as well as increasing party DPS with Rebuke Foe if you don't need a AOE heal at the time. Using Renewal as well as an Un-meta'd CLW or a Max/Quicken CSW will have you ready to do Strike Down every time it is off Cooldown. Hitting Smite the Wicked everytime it's off cooldown is nearly as good as a full smite off a paladin, and all these abilities will give you large chunks of hate.

Might it be worthwhile to put more into AC? I was thinking dropping base CON to 16 so you could start DEX 11 INT 11 to add Combat Expertise instead of Imp Shield Bash & Precision instead of Power Atk. Because of the spell cooldown penalty from CE you wouldn't use it all the time; just when AC is more important than self-heals.

It would work, but I don't really think it would be ideal for this build. You end up doing A LOT of casting so CE really hurts more than it helps and losing ISB means you can't maintain threat while shield blocking. Additionally, you almost want to be hit as much as possible but for as little damage as possible, to proc Torc/ConcOp. Precision vs PA is really just a matter of preference, if someone ran the numbers they would probably be roughly the same. and starting 16 vs 18 con only makes a difference of 30 hp (stanced) at 25 so you wouldn't loose much.
